Her father, a German medical services executive from Hamburg, remained in New Jersey but now lives in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, a Swedish former art gallery owner, also moved to California. Dunst has a younger brother, Christian.
Dunst attended the Ranney School in New Jersey, and graduated in 2000 from Notre Dame High School, a private Catholic high school in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Career
Dunst got her start as a child fashion model at the age of three in television commercials. She was signed with Ford Models and Elite Model Management. In a 1988 episode of Saturday Night Live, she played the role of President George H. W. Bush's granddaughter. In 1989, Dunst made her film debut in Woody Allen's Oedipus Wrecks, a short film that was released as one-third of the anthology film New York Stories. Soon after, she landed a small part in The Bonfire of the Vanities as Tom Hanks' daughter. Dunst also did the voice of Kiki in the 1989 anime film Kiki's Delivery Service (in 1997, when it was released in America). In 1993, Dunst played Hedril in the seventh season episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called "Dark Page". She also had a recurring role as a child prostitute, Charlie Chiemingo, on ER.
Her feature film breakthrough came in Interview with the Vampire, a 1994 film based on Anne Rice's novel. The movie featured a scene in which Dunst, then aged eleven, received her first kiss from Brad Pitt, who was 29. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination, the MTV Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and the Saturn Award for Best Young Actress. In 1995 (and again in 2002), she was named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People. Dunst was also offered the role of Angela in the 1999 Academy Award-winning film American Beauty, but turned it down because she did not want to appear in the film's suggestive sexual scenes or kiss co-star Kevin Spacey. The same year, she had the role of troubled adolescent Lux Lisbon in Sofia Coppola's independent film The Virgin Suicides. In 2000, she played the captain of a cheerleading squad in Bring it On.
Dunst is best known for her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man film series based on Stan Lee's comic serial Spider-Man. She portrayed the neighbor and romantic interest of the mild-mannered superhero in the original Spider-Man in 2002. Dunst was generally well-received in the role, and had a now-famous and often-parodied scene in which she kisses the hero while he hangs upside-down from his web. The success of the first film led her to reprise the role in two sequels, Spider-Man 2 in 2004 and Spider-Man 3 in 2007. Dunst initially signed on to appear in three Spider-Man films, and has said that she would not appear in a fourth film unless director Sam Raimi returned to direct.
At the 2002 Mar de Plata Film Festival, Dunst won the Best Actress Silver Ombú for her performance as Charlie Chaplin's love interest Marion Davies in Peter Bogdanovich's The Cat's Meow.
At the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, Marie Antoinette premiered. It was released in North America on October 20, 2006. In the film, her second with director Sofia Coppola, Dunst plays the title character and uses an American accent in the role.
Future roles
Dunst is expected to portray peace activist Marla Ruzicka in Sweet Relief scripted by Lorene Scafaria for Warner Independent Pictures in 2009. She is rumored to have the role of Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry in director Michel Gondry's upcoming biopic about the band. This would not be Dunst's first foray into music; she made her singing debut in the 2001 film Get Over It, performing two songs written by Marc Shaiman. She also lent her voice to the end credits of The Cat's Meow, singing Henry Creamer and Turner Layton's jazz standard "After You've Gone." In Spider-Man 3, she sings two songs as part of her role as Mary Jane Watson, one as a Broadway actress and one as a singing waitress in a jazz club. She also appeared in the music video for Savage Garden's "I Knew I Loved You".
Personal life
After briefly dating her longtime friend, playwright Jeff Smeenge, she started dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal in September 2002, after meeting him through his sister, Maggie (her Mona Lisa Smile co-star). They broke up in July 2004 but then dated intermittently until December 2005. She was recently seen with British rocker Johnny Borrell at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Borrell, the frontman of Razorlight, commented on their relationship, saying, "I'm not hiding anything. We met in Los Angeles. We were hanging out at South by Southwest and we've been hanging out ever since."
Dunst is known for her quirky fashion style and has been featured on Richard Blackwell's famous Best Dressed List.
As of April 9, 2007, Dunst admitted that she has tried marijuana and other drugs. In an interview, Dunst said, "I've never been a major smoker, but I think America's view on weed is ridiculous. I mean — are you kidding me? If everyone smoked weed, the world would be a better place. I'm not talking about being stoned all day, though. I think if it's not used properly, it can hamper your creativity and close you up inside."

Son: Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke (b. 15-Jan-2002)
Boyfriend: Andre Balazs (owner of Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, dated 2004-07)
She was named for Uma, the Hindu goddess of light and beauty. At the age of 14 she made her professional stage debut, playing Abigail in a local production of The Crucible. At 15, she dropped out of Northfield-Mt. Hermon to concentrate on modeling auditions (though the school still touts an unflattering photo of the teen Thurman among its "famous alumni"). At 16, she was a professional model, and made her film debut as a thieving teen seductress in the trashy Kiss Daddy Goodnight with Steve Buscemi. At 17, she played the girlfriend of high school football hero Anthony Michael Hall in Johnny Be Good, and at 18, in her third film, she became a star playing the young Venus in Terry Gilliam's The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.
Her best films include Pulp Fiction, where she danced with John Travolta and had a hypodermic needle stabbed into her heart, Gattaca, the underrated cautionary science fiction with Ethan Hawke and Gore Vidal, and the Kill Bill films, where Thurman battled Lucy Liu, Daryl Hannah, Vivica Fox, and hundreds of ninjas to find vengeance against David Carradine. Embarrassments include the abysmal big-screen dismantling of The Avengers with Ralph Fiennes, the destruction of the 'Batman' franchise in Batman & Robin with George Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the ruin of Tom Robbins's Even Cowgirls Get the Blues with Pat Morita and Angie Dickinson.
At 20, Thurman married 32-year-old Gary Oldman and at 22 divorced him. Neither of them have spoken publicly of their marriage or divorce, beyond a wistful comment Oldman let slip on a talk show some years later: "You try living with an angel." Thurman was later married to Hawke, her co-star in Gattaca, but their marriage ended after his reported dalliances an unknown actress. Since then she has dated hotel magnate Andre Balazs.
Uma's father, Robert Thurman, was expelled from Phillips Exeter Academy when he tried, without success, to enlist for Fidel Castro's Cuban revolution. Unable to fight, he instead became the first Westerner ordained as a Tibetan monk. He has written and translated numerous books on Buddhism, has often entertained the Dalai Lama, and taught Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies at Columbia University.
Her mother, Nena von Schlebrugge, was a Mexican-born Swedish supermodel of the 1960s who later became a New York psychotherapist. She was friends with Salvador Dali, who introduced her to drug guru Timothy Leary, whom she married on camera in a bizarre documentary, You're Nobody Until Somebody Loves You. Less than two years later, though, Schlebrugge left Leary for Robert Thurman, and the jilted Leary became Uma Thurman's godfather.
Thurman's grandfather, Baron Karl von Schlebrugge, was briefly jailed by Nazis when he refused to betray his business partners, who were Jewish. Her grandmother was a noted beauty immortalized in a nude statue that stands in the Swedish port town of Trelleborg, looking very much like Uma Thurman. On the other side of the family tree, her paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Farrar, a Broadway actress, and Thurman's uncle played cello with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
I was not particularly bright, I wasn't very athletic, I was a little too tall, odd, funny looking, I was just really weird as a kid.

She tried a TV career when she stared in Great Yellow Bird, Fantasy Island,Callie & Son,Splendor in the Grass, and The Children Nobody Wanted. She returned to film in Grease 2, although it was weakly received by critics and audiences, despite gaining a cult following.
Career breakthrough
But it was not until 1983 when Pfeiffer co-starred with Al Pacino in Brian De Palma's gangster classic Scarface that she caught the attention of Hollywood. In 1985 she stared in the fantasy romance Ladyhawke, which gave Pfeiffer good reviews, but failed to become a box office success.

In 2001, she starred opposite Sean Penn in I Am Sam and in 2002 alongside Renée Zellweger and Robin Wright Penn in White Oleander, which earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress.
Hiatus and renewed success
After a long absence from the spotlight, Pfeiffer returned to acting in 2006. Her first round of projects teamed her with director Amy Heckerling in the romantic comedy I Could Never Be Your Woman (opposite Paul Rudd, scheduled for release November 2007) as well as opposite Robert De Niro, Claire Danes, and Sienna Miller in the fantasy epic Stardust. Pfeiffer co-starred in the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Hairspray as Velma Von Tussle. She will make a cameo appearance in The Prince and the Pauper, a film in which her sister Dedee stars. Pfeiffer received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 6, 2007 in front of the Hollywood & Highland Center.
On her return to acting, Pfeiffer says, "Now that I'm working again, I realize I really like this stuff." Michelle revealed that she is not about to start a new project yet, but one will start in the Winter of 2007/2008. "It looks like I'm going back to work... and I won't wait four years."
Personal life
In 1981 Pfeiffer married Thirtysomething actor Peter Horton, but they divorced in 1988 at the height of her career. She has been romantically linked with actors Val Kilmer, John Malkovich, Michael Keaton and Fisher Stevens. In 1993 Pfeiffer married writer-producer David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, The Practice, Boston Public, and Boston Legal).
Earlier that year, before meeting Kelley, Pfeiffer adopted a daughter, Claudia Rose, who was then adopted by Kelley following their marriage. The adopted baby was the daughter of a African-American nurse living in New York, who already had four children. At the time of the adoption, there were rumours that money was exchanged for the baby, but Michelle has vigorously denied these claims stating that the adoption was private. In 1994 Pfeiffer gave birth to a son, John Henry. Pfeiffer and Kelley divide their time between homes in Los Angeles and Northern California.
In an August 2006 In Style interview (her first in many years), Pfeiffer discussed her return to making movies, stating that she is "a better mother if I also work... It empowers them [her children] without me hovering, making everyone feel inadequate". Pfeiffer discussed plastic surgery, stating that she hopes she is "courageous enough to age gracefully". Pfeiffer also referred to her beauty as a "curse", as she believes that it often stunted her ability to get serious roles and eclipsed her acting ability.

AKA Jessica Marie Alba
Born: 28-Apr-1981
Birthplace: Pomona, CA
Gender: Female
Religion: Roman Catholic
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Actor
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Dark Angel
Father: Mark Alba (real estate agent)
Mother: Cathy Jensen (housewife)
Brother: Joshua Alba (actor, b. 8-Jul-1982)
Boyfriend: Michael Weatherly (Dark Angel costar, engaged May-2001, broken 2003)
Boyfriend: Cash Warren (film producer, b. 1979, dated and cohabited 2005-07)Alba was born in Pomona, California, to Mark Alba, who is Mexican American (though both of Jessica Alba's paternal grandparents were born in California), and Catherine Jensen, who has French and Danish ancestry; the two married while in their teenage years. Her maternal grandfather was a Marine NCO for 30 years, serving in the Pacific during WWII, and later as Asst. Drum Major for the United States Marine Band. Alba was raised in an Air Force family, along with her brother, Joshua, an actor who appeared with her in the season one finale of Dark Angel, and her grandparents until she was 17 years old. Her father's Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi and Del Rio, Texas, before they settled back in California.
Alba's early life was marked by a multitude of physical maladies; she suffered collapsed lungs twice, had pneumonia 4-5 times a year, a burst appendix, and a cyst on her tonsils. This served to isolate her from other children at school because, as she claims, she was in the hospital so often that no one knew her well enough to befriend her.
She has also acknowledged suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder during childhood.
Her health improved, however, when her family moved to California.
Alba had expressed interest in acting since the age of five. She took her first acting class at age twelve, and an acting agent signed her nine months later.
Career
Her first appearance on film was a small role in the 1994 feature Camp Nowhere as Gail. She was originally hired for two weeks but her role turned into a two-month job when the actress in one of the prominent roles dropped out.
Alba appeared in two national TV commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penney as a child; she was later featured in several independent films. She branched out into TV in 1994 with a recurring role as Jessica in three episodes of the Nickelodeon comedy series The Secret World of Alex Mack. She then performed the role of Maya in the first two seasons of the TV series Flipper. Under the tutelage of her lifeguard mother, Alba learned to swim before she could walk, and she was a PADI-certified scuba diver, skills which were put to use on the show, which was filmed in Australia.
In 1998, she appeared as Melissa Hauer in a first-season episode of the Steven Bochco crime-drama Brooklyn South, as Leanne in two episodes of Beverly Hills 90210 and as Layla in an episode of The Love Boat: The Next Wave. In 1999, she appeared in the Randy Quaid comedy feature P.U.N.K.S.. After graduating from high school, Alba studied acting with William H. Macy and his wife, Felicity Huffman, at the Atlantic Theater Company, which was developed by Macy and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and film director, David Mamet.
Alba rose to greater prominence in Hollywood in 1999 after appearing as a member of a snobby high school clique in the Drew Barrymore romantic comedy Never Been Kissed, and as the female lead in the 1999 comedy-horror film Idle Hands, opposite Devon Sawa. Her big break came when writer/director James Cameron picked Alba from a pool of 1,200 candidates for the role of the genetically-engineered super-soldier, Max Guevara, on the FOX sci-fi TV series Dark Angel. Co-created by Cameron, the series starred Alba, and ran for two seasons before being canceled in 2002. Since then her most notable roles have been as an aspiring dancer-choreographer in Honey, exotic dancer Nancy Callahan in Sin City and as the classic Marvel Comics character Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four. Jessica went on to host the 2006 MTV Movie Awards and performed sketches spoofing the movies King Kong, Mission Impossible 3, and The Da Vinci Code.
On the cover of the March 2006 issue, Playboy magazine named Alba among its 25 Sexiest Celebrities, and the Sex Star of the Year. Alba was involved in litigation against Playboy for its use of her image (from a promotional shot for Into the Blue) without her consent, which she contends gave the appearance that she was featured in the issue in a "nude pictorial". However, she later dropped the lawsuit after receiving a personal apology from Playboy owner Hugh Hefner who agreed to make donations to two charities that Alba has supported.
In 2006, readers of Askmen.com voted Alba No. 1 on 99 Most Desirable Women, while in 2007, Maxim Magazine placed Alba on the number 2 spot of their Top 100, after Lindsay Lohan. Both GQ and In Style magazines had Alba on their June covers, and in May, after eight million votes, FHM named Alba the winner as 2007’s Sexiest Woman in the World.
Alba fears being typecast as a sex kitten based on the bulk of parts offered to her. "Somehow, I don't think this is happening to Natalie Portman," laments Alba. In the interview, Alba says she wants to be taken seriously as an actress but believes she needs to do movies that she would otherwise not be interested in to build her career, stating that eventually she hopes to be more selective in her film projects.
Personal life
Alba has revealed that she envisions a much older man as her ideal partner, making references to Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery, Robert Redford, and Michael Caine. "I have this thing for older men. They've been around and know so much."
Regarding children, Alba said, "I'm really girly when it comes to kids. I've been surrounded by kids my whole life because I'm the oldest of 15 cousins — I've been changing diapers since I was six. I want to have a couple, for sure".
She has a tattoo of a daisy with a ladybug on the back of her neck, the Sanskrit symbol for the lotus flower, padma, on her wrist, and a lower back tattoo of a bow.

Personal life
Cruz has a younger brother, Eduardo, a singer, and a younger sister Mónica, who closely resembles her: a similarity exploited for some Spanish TV ads. In the 2000s, Mónica left her dancing career and achieved note on her own in the youth-oriented TV series Un Paso Adelante.
Cruz claims to be a vegetarian since 2000, though this fact is disputed. She speaks four languages: Spanish, Italian, French and English. Cruz has also donated a considerable amount of money and time to charity. In 1997 she volunteered in Uganda for two months.
After appearing in 2001 in the film Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise, they had a three-year relationship. They split up in January 2004.
After filming Sahara in February 2005, she started dating actor Matthew McConaughey. In May 2006, they released a joint statement to People, saying that they "have decided to take time off as a couple. Later that year they announced that they were "no longer intimate and separating was the best thing to do at this time."
Cruz had a short-term relationship with actor Orlando Bloom in 2006.
Apart from being a close personal friend of the actress, Salma Hayek, Cruz is also a good friend of the Colombian singer Shakira.
In April 2007 Cruz, who is now single, stated that she would like to have children one day and she feels the need to adopt. "Of course I want to have kids," Cruz, 32, tells the Spanish edition of Marie Claire in its April issue. "I want to have my own kids, but also adopt. For a while I've had the feeling that my life won't be complete if I don't adopt."

Husband: Kenny Chesney (country musician, m. 9-May-2005, annulled 22-Dec-2005)
Zellweger was born in Baytown, Texas, and moved to Katy, Texas, at the age of nine with her family. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is a Swiss-born engineer who worked in the oil refining business, and her mother, Kjellfried Irene (Andreassen), is a Norwegian-born nurse and midwife of Sami origin. Zellweger was raised in a family of "lazy Catholics and Episcopalians". In high school, she was a cheerleader and gymnast, and participated in the drama club. She graduated from Katy High School in Katy, a suburb of Houston in 1987. After high school, she went to the University of Texas at Austin to major in English. Though she took a drama class only because she needed a fine arts credit to complete her degree, it made her appreciate how much she loved acting. During this time, she supported herself by taking a series of waitressing jobs in Austin, Texas.\Film career
After Zellweger graduated from college, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She won roles in films such as Reality Bites, Empire Records, The Whole Wide World, 8 Seconds, and Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Zellweger first became widely known to audiences around the world with her role in 1996's Jerry Maguire, where she played the romantic interest of Tom Cruise's character. Zellweger won the role over Mira Sorvino and Marisa Tomei. Since then, Zellweger has won acclaim in roles such as One True Thing opposite William Hurt and Meryl Streep and in Neil LaBute's Nurse Betty opposite Morgan Freeman. The role garnered the actress her first of three Golden Globe Awards, but she was in the bathroom when future co-star Hugh Grant announced her name. Zellweger later protested: "I had lipstick on my teeth!"
In 2001, Zellweger gained the prized lead role in the film Bridget Jones's Diary, amid much controversy since she was neither British nor plump. During casting Zellweger was told she was too skinny to play the chubby Bridget, so she very quickly embarked on gaining the required weight. Her dramatically personal yo-yoing weight has been the subject of much media interest. As well as receiving voice coaching to fine-tune her English accent, part of Zellweger's preparations involved spending three weeks working undercover in a "job experience placement" for British publishing firm Picador in Victoria, London. As a result of her considerable efforts to effect author Helen Fielding's character, Zellweger caught the attention of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and received her first Best Actress Academy Award nomination.
In 2002, she starred with Michelle Pfeiffer in White Oleander and in Rob Marshall's Best Picture winning film Chicago opposite Catherine Zeta Jones, Richard Gere, Queen Latifah, and John C. Reilly. Zellweger earned her second Academy Award nomination as Best Actress, as well as the Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe Award. In 2004, Zellweger finally received an Academy Award, this time as Best Supporting Actress in Anthony Minghella's Cold Mountain opposite Jude Law and Nicole Kidman. Zellweger has since starred in the sequel to Bridget Jones' Diary in Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, lent her voice to the animated feature Shark Tale, and starred in the 2005 Ron Howard film Cinderella Man opposite Russell Crowe and Paul Giamatti. Her most recent film is Miss Potter, based on the life story of acclaimed author Beatrix Potter, with Emily Watson and Ewan McGregor, released in December 2006.
Zellweger, and Marc Forster, took part in the 2005 HIV prevention campaign of the Swiss federal health department. Zellweger was the subject of an Israeli pop song Renée by Ariel Horowitz, where Horowitz describes his love to Zellweger, and says that he would like to marry her and bring her back to Israel with him.
On May 24, 2005, Zellweger received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Personal life
Zellweger dated Sims Ellison while studying at the University of Texas, but the couple broke up after graduation. She also dated Josh Pate, whom she began seeing in November 1996 after the filming of "Deceiver". She also was rumoured to have dated George Clooney. Her first high-profile romance was with actor/comedian Jim Carrey. The relationship ended in a broken engagement in December 2000. Zellweger notably poked fun at the prior relationship when she ended her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live by reading an entry from her own "diary", marked "Dear Diary, I can't believe I am dating Jim Carrey".
For two years, Zellweger dated The White Stripes singer Jack White, who is six years her junior. However, it was felt that White didn't want to settle down, and they broke up.
On May 9, 2005, Zellweger married singer Kenny Chesney in a ceremony at the island of St. John. They had met in January at a tsunami relief benefit concert. Zellweger missed out on the engagement ring since the wedding was planned over a short span of time. On September 15, 2005, after only four months of marriage, they announced their plans for an annulment. Zellweger cited fraud as the reason in the related papers. After media scrutiny of her use of the word "fraud", she released the following statement: "(The term is) simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny's character. I would personally be very grateful for your support in refraining from drawing derogatory, hurtful, sensationalized or untrue conclusions. We hope to experience this transition as privately as possible." The annulment was finalized in late December 2005. When interviewed on Late Show with David Letterman in December 2006, she was still reluctant to answer questions over the relationship. Since her marriage annulment, she been linked to various personalities, including actor Luke Perry of Beverly Hills, 90210 fame.
Zellweger sold her home in the Hollywood Hills, and after renting for a while she now again owns a home in Bel Air. She admits that she gets scared at home alone, and has considered buying a gun for reasons of personal security.

Born: 25-Apr-1988
Birthplace: Woodland Hills, CA
Gender: Female
Race or Ethnicity: White
Occupation: Actor, Singer
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Darcy's Wild Life
Father: Steve Paxton (businessman)
Mother: (dentist)
Paxton, an only child, was born in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California to what she has described as "a very mixed family". Her father, Steve Paxton, is a businessman of Irish and other European descent and is distantly related to actor Bill Paxton. Her mother, Lucia, is a dentist from Monterrey, Mexico, and as a result Paxton speaks some Spanish, although not fluently. Paxton's mother is Jewish and her father converted to Judaism upon marrying her mother. During her childhood, Paxton put on shows and wanted to perform, sometimes dressing up in costume and coming to school as a particular character. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended a public high school (and did not want to be home-schooled), graduating in June of 2006.
Career
Paxton has said that singing and acting "went hand in hand" during her early years, though she initially began working as an actress, appearing in musical theater and later in television commercials at a young age. Her first film role was a small part in the 1997 Jim Carrey comedy, Liar Liar. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, she appeared in a number of minor television and film roles, including a part on the soap opera Passions, a regular role on the series Greetings from Tucson, and a guest starring role on the Disney Channel show, Lizzie McGuire, playing an ex-president of Lizzie's school. In 2003, Paxton starred in R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse, a short 3-D film attraction that still plays at several theme parks across the United States. She also appeared as Lana on "CSI: Miami".
Paxton's first major role was in the teen-oriented film, Sleepover, which opened in July 2004 to negative reviews and low box office revenue; during the same summer season, she appeared in several episodes of the series, Summerland, playing Sarah Borden, a mentally troubled teen who experimented with drugs and sex with Jesse McCartney's character. Paxton was subsequently cast in the lead role of the Discovery Kids television series, Darcy's Wild Life, playing Darcy Fields, a girl who works at a rural veterinary; the series was filmed on a farm in Toronto and aired from 2004 to 2006, often featuring Paxton's music track, Take A Walk. Paxton received an Emmy nomination for the role in 2006.
In 2005, Paxton spent three months working on the Australia-filmed Aquamarine, in which she played a mermaid, opposite Emma Roberts and JoJo, whom she befriended while filming. Paxton has said that she felt a sense of "female empowerment" while on set because "almost everyone" on set was female. The film opened on March 3, 2006 and grossed approximately $7.5 million in its opening weekend. Reviewers of the film compared Paxton, whose inspiration is Goldie Hawn, to actress Reese Witherspoon, saying that she has an "infectious, nutty energy". Paxton recorded a song for the film's soundtrack titled Connected.
Paxton hosted The Secret Life of Water, the first episode of the series Planet H2O, which premiered in April of 2006 on public television stations. In May of the same year, she made an appearance on the television series Pepper Dennis, playing a teen actress. Paxton, who sees herself as an "evolving actress", then appeared in Return to Halloweentown, replacing Kimberly J. Brown in the fourth installment in Disney Channel's Halloweentown series; she dyed her hair brown for the role. The film aired on October 20, 2006. During the summer and early fall of 2006, Paxton filmed The Party Never Stops: Diary of a Binge Drinker, a Lifetime Television film, in Vancouver Island. In the film, she plays Jessie, a college student who falls victim to binge drinking. Paxton has described it as "very different" from her previous roles, and has specified that she was looking for a role that would be a "challenge"; the film aired in March of 2007. Paxton's next film role is in Sydney White, a college-set comedy starring Amanda Bynes and Matt Long; filming began on February 12, 2007 in Orlando, Florida for a September 21, 2007 release. She has also been cast in Superhero!, a parody on superhero films scheduled to begin filming in September of 2007 for a March 28, 2008 release date.
Paxton was signed to a record deal with Sony during the time she was cast in Aquamarine. Her debut music CD, The Ups and Downs, featuring the single Here We Go Again, is due for release by Epic Records at some point "in the future"; as of March 2007, Paxton has not completed work on it.[ She has described the sound as "pop/rock".
Personal life
Paxton has said that attending college is "very important" to her because "it is important to expand your mind". In 2006, Paxton applied to the University of Southern California's film studies program, and was not accepted. She has noted that she would like to major in business administration with a minor in history (as she is a "history fanatic") and to start a production company.
Paxton, who keeps a journal, has a dog named Jenny (who is eleven years old as of 2007), and a Chihuahua puppy named Coco Chanel, who she loves very much. She is friends with her Aquamarine co-stars, JoJo and Emma Roberts, and lives "five minutes apart" from Roberts. Paxton has credited her Jewish religion for feeling "very connected" to her family, who keep her "grounded" and are "always number one" in her life. She did not have a Bat Mitzvah because she was busy filming, though she has said that she "wanted to so bad".
Paxton dyed her hair back to blonde immediately after playing the role of Marnie Piper in Return To Halloweentown, for which she had become a brunette.

AKA Kelly Brianne Clarkson
Born: 24-Apr-1982
Birthplace: Fort Worth, TX
Gender: Female
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Singer, Actor
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: First winner of American Idol
Father: Jimmy Taylor (stepfather)
Mother: Jeanne
Brother: Jason (b. 1973)
Sister: Alyssa (b. 1976)
Born in Fort Worth and raised in the decent, God-fearing town of Burleson, Kelly Clarkson grew up with no other ambition than to serve humanity in the respectable vocation of marine biologist. Tragically, these honorable intentions were to be abandoned forever when, at the onset of her vulnerable teen years, the young girl found herself seduced by the deceits and distortions of the corporate celebrity machine. The greenhouse for this bitter weed was the same that had started so many other promising teens on the path towards perdition: the school choir. By the time of her graduation from high school, Clarkson's will was wholly overcome by these impure urges, and she immediately set out to sign her freedom away to the first record label that would have her.
In keeping with the usual methods employed by the predatory "entertainment" cabal, a period of constant rejection was arranged for the aspiring singer, forcing her to resort to a series of unrewarding, menial jobs in order to survive. This, of course, is used to compromise the good judgement of celebrity hopefuls by adding desperation to fuel the already powerful impetus of self-promoting ambition, as well as weakening their character by encouraging the notion that they have "paid their dues" in some way, and are therefore entitled to their later elevated status. After relocating to Hollywood, Clarkson was dropped a few crumbs to keep her on her wayward course (including an appearance as an extra on the television series Sabrina the Teenage Witch); but, after a few such taunting gestures, she was left to return to Burleson in defeat.
Back in Texas, Clarkson found work promoting the low-grade amphetamine substitute "Red Bull"; at this time she was made aware of a newly-conceived method of ensnaring hapless youngsters into the web of celebrity degradation, more potent and insidious than any that had come before it. A new spin on the so-called "reality TV" genre was being launched under the name American Idol, in which recognition-desperate contestants would be pitted against each other while the viewing audience wallowed in their public humiliation (perpertrated, of course, by bitter music industry victims that the corporate system had already irredeemably corrupted). Clarkson threw herself into the fray, and was ultimately chosen as the top contender. A recording contract with RCA was given as part of her award, and the notoriety attached to the program helped to push her debut single A Moment Like This (2002) up to the #1 position on the pop music charts.
The singer's full-length album Thankful materialized in April of 2003, and so persistant was her new-found popularity that both it and her second single Miss Independent (co-written by mouseketeer-turned-sex-kitten Christina Aguilera) followed A Moment Like This to the top of the charts. Never ones to leave any milk lingering in a willing cow, her corporate handlers further capitalized on the American Idol craze by releasing a feature film pairing her with fellow Idol contestant Justin Guarini, From Justin To Kelly, later that same year. Her next several singles -- Low, The Trouble With Love, Breakaway, and Since U Been Gone -- consistently entered the top 10, and her second album Breakaway reached platinum sales a few months after its release at the end of 2004. Given such results for its first victor, is beyond question that the American Idol grinder will find no lack of fresh meat for years to come.

AKA Valerie Anne Bertinelli
Born: 23-Apr-1960
Birthplace: Wilmington, DE
Gender: Female
Religion: Roman Catholic
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Actor
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: One Day at a Time
Father: Andrew Bertinelli (GM executive)
Mother: Nancy Bertinelli (homemaker)
Brother: Mark (d. 1960 poisoning)
Boyfriend: Scott Colomby (actor, Caddyshack, b. 19-Sep-1952, dated late 1970s)
Boyfriend: Steven Spielberg (film director, dated in 1980)
Husband: Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen, m. 11-Apr-1981, sep. 15-Oct-2001, filed for divorce 6-Dec-2005, one son)
Son: Wolfgang Van Halen (Van Halen, b. 16-Mar-1991, with Van Halen)
Valerie Bertinelli appeared in commercials at 14, and acted in one episode of Apple's Way with Ronny Cox. Months later, she got a phone call from a casting agent who -- based solely on her snapshot -- invited Bertinelli to audition for a new sitcom. For nine years she played Barbara Cooper, daughter of Bonnie Franklin on One Day at a Time. In the show's first season, Bertinelli was 15 and her character was written as a tomboy, but during the second season she blossomed into a lovely young woman, and the show's male demographic increased proportionally. Ratings peaked when Bertinelli's character was married in a very special 1982 episode.
While One Day at a Time was in production, Bertinelli's TV sister, Mackenzie Phillips, had recurring and well-publicized drug problems. Reportedly, Bertinelli's response was to stop speaking to Phillips for several years, except for scripted lines in character.
During and after One Day at a Time's long run, Bertinelli became familiar as the perpetually distraught star of "woman-in-peril" TV movies. In these roles through the 1980s and 90s, she played a young widow whose husband was killed in the Vietnam war; a woman with a serious gambling problem; a young nun in love with a priest; a woman who must decide whether to testify against her brother-in-law in a rape trial; a mother whose baby is kidnapped and sold; a mother charged with child neglect; a woman whose sister is murdered by her brother-in-law; a newlywed who descends into mental illness; a woman sued by her sister who wants a court to order her to have an abortion; and a lesbian whose mother sues for custody of her child, among numerous other melodramatic roles.
In 1990, she played a private investigator in an unfunny sitcom called Sydney, where the notion of a female private eye seemed to be the only joke. In a quickly cancelled 1993 series, Café Americain, she played an American divorcee who moved to Paris but spoke only a few words of French. She also played the angel Gloria for the final two seasons of Touched by an Angel with Roma Downey and Della Reese.
Her father was in middle management at General Motors, and later worked as a mid-level manager in the construction of the "chunnel" between England and France.

Jaime King is an American film actress and model. In her modeling career and early film roles, she went by the names Jamie King and most especially James King, which was a childhood nickname given to King by her parents, because her agency already represented another Jaime — the older, then-more famous model Jaime Rishar. King, because of the latter name, is sometimes referred to as the "Model with a man's name".
King had a successful modeling career and was considered "One of the world's top fashion models", appearing in Vogue, Mademoiselle, and Harper's Bazaar. Afterwards, King began taking small film roles, her first large endeavor being the big-budget Pearl Harbor (2001), and later first starring role in Bulletproof Monk (2003). She has gone onto appear as a lead in various other films, and gained more notoriety after Sin City (2005), in which she will reprise her role for the sequel Sin City 2 (2009).
Personal life
King was born in the suburbs of Omaha, Nebraska to mother Nancy H. King, a beauty queen, and father Robert R. King. She has an older sister, Sandi, and a younger brother, Barry, and was reputed to be named after Jaime Sommers of the 1970s television series, The Bionic Woman. King's parents split amicably in 1995, and the two continue to work together in Omaha where they rent out low-income apartments. King had attended the modeling school Nancy Bounds's Studios and later dropped out of Westside High School in 1995 to pursue a modeling career in New York, afterwards enrolling in a home-study program run by the University of Nebraska.
During her first job modeling, King was turned onto heroin and had an addiction to the drug from age 14 to 19. In 1997, following the death of her boyfriend, younger brother of Mario Sorrenti, fashion photographer Davide Sorrenti (who at age 21 died of a kidney ailment that was thought to have been brought on by excessive heroin use) she became sober. King went to rehabilitation at age 19 for her addictions to heroin and alcohol.
King was rumored to have dated Sean Lennon, but she denied the rumors while on The Howard Stern Show. In September 2000, King dated Kid Rock and the couple made an appearance on a later recording of the Howard Stern Show. She was rumored to be linked with model Alex Burns, actor Jake Gyllenhaal in spring 2001, and Matt Damhave in 2002. In 2005, King dated Bradley Cooper whom she met while working on the television series Kitchen Confidential. She is currently engaged to Kyle Newman whom she met working on the film Fanboys that he was directing.
King is a fan of the music of Britney Spears, The Wu-Tang Clan, Rilo Kiley, Kate Joy, and Hot Hot Heat. She also enjoys surfing and claims to be friends with numerous musicians.
In an interview published in 1996, King, after retiring from modeling, plans to be a writer or possibly a photographer. King currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Career
Modeling
She was discovered in November 1993, at the age of fourteen, while attending Nancy Bounds's Studios, a school for modeling. After being spotted at her graduation fashion show by New York model agent Michael Flutie, King was invited to New York to begin modeling professionally. She joined with Company Management, who already represented Jaime Rishar, a more established model at the time. To avoid confusion, King opted to go by her childhood nickname, James, for the duration of her modeling career and later, the beginning of her film career. In March 1994 she traveled to New York for test pictures and received enthusiastic responses, however, she did not return to New York until July 1994 after gaining a successful advertisement for Abercrombie & Fitch. Much of Fall and Spring 1994 were spent commuting between Omaha and New York.
King had a successful early career as a fashion model, and by age fifteen she had been featured in the fasion magazines Vogue, Mademoiselle, Allure, and Seventeen. At sixteen, King had graced the pages of Glamour and Harper's Bazaar. She was featured on the New York Times Magazine cover story published on February 4, 1996 and had walked the runway for Chanel and Christian Dior. In 1998 she began co-hosting MTV's fashion series, House of Style, with fellow model turned actress Rebecca Romijn. Despite her success, King has noted that she "remember[s] the times where I was so alone" and thought she was "never gonna be able to be a kid." She, along with Kate Moss, had been often cited as those who helped popularize the idea of heroin chic in the 1990s.
Since 1998, King's modeling career continued to grow, and she has since been featured in advertisements for Bebe, Revlon, Cesare Paciotti, Express Jeans, Coach, Armani Exchange, and Matsuda. In 2006, King was chosen by Rocawear CEO Jay-Z to become the new face of the line; her advertisements were featured for the Winter 2006 Season.
Acting
In 1999, King began her acting career and made her debut in the Daniel Waters' comedy Happy Campers, as Pixel. Happy Campers was screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001, and in 2003, King was nominated for "Best Actress" at the DVD Exclusive Awards for her portrayal of Pixel. Following her debut role, King appeared briefly in the film Blow, portraying Kristina Jung, daughter of George Jung (portrayed by Johnny Depp). Blow was based on the real-life stories of cocaine smugglers George Jung, Pablo Escobar, Carlos Lehder and the Medellín Cartel.
King made her first appearance in a large Hollywood production with her role as the seventeen year old nurse, Betty, in Pearl Harbor (2001). The World War II epic romance that dramatically retold the attack on Pearl Harbor was, despite being produced by the team of Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay, not well critically received. Many critics dismissed the film as visually polished but historically insensitive, also citing the banal dialogue, underdeveloped love triangle plot, and the shallow nature of the lead characters. King's roles in the three films she took part in during 2001, garnered her the "New Stylemaker" title at the Young Hollywood Awards.
In 2002, she appeared in teen comedy Slackers as Angela Patton , Four Faces of God as Sam, and crime comedy Lone Star State of Mind as Baby. 2003 saw King in the film Bulletproof Monk, along side Chow Yun-Fat and Seann William Scott, an adaptation of a comic book by Michael Avon Oeming. She portrayed Jade, a character skilled in martial arts. This was King's first leading action film role, however, Bulletproof Monk had received mostly negative reviews from critics, who cited that the fight scenes were not as well choreographed or directed as those other genre films, and that the alternating comedic and action scenes were jarring. Despite those negative reviews, Bulletproof Monk was nominated for "Choice Movie in a Drama/Action Adventure" award at the Teen Choice Awards. In 2004, King appeared in the comedy White Chicks, playing Heather Vandergeld, with actress Brittany Daniel as her sister Megan Vandergeld, a parody on socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton. White Chicks was also negatively reviewed by critics, receiving five nominations at the Razzie Awards in the categories for "Worst Actress", "Worst Director", "Worst Picture", "Worst Screen Couple" and "Worst Screenplay". Despite the multiple Razzie Awards nominations, White Whicks received "Outstanding Directing for a Box Office Movie" and "Outstanding Writing for a Box Office Movie " at the BET Comedy Awards.
2005 saw King in a variety of film and television roles. She first appeared in the independent black comedy and satire Pretty Persuasion. She played a small role as Kathy Joyce, the step mother of Evan Rachel Wood's character. Afterwards, she gained lead roles in the film adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel Sin City as Goldie and Wendy, the twin prostitutes in charge of the girls of Old Town. King acted as the twin characters in the segment The Hard Goodbye opposite Mickey Rourke, however, because the twins never appeared in the same frame together, CGI was not needed to composite two images of King. Sin City featured a large ensemble cast of well known actors which included Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Rutger Hauer, Clive Owen, Benicio del Toro, Rosario Dawson, Alexis Bledel, Brittany Murphy, Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba. Sin City had opened to wide critical and commercial success, gathering particular recognition for the film's unique coloring process, which rendered most of the film in black and white but retained coloring for select objects; King was one of the few in the black and white film to have color, that being, red lips and blonde hair when acting as Goldie. The film was screened at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival in-competition and won the Technical Grand Prize for the film's "visual shaping." The family comedy Cheaper by the Dozen 2 featured King as Anne Murtaugh in the large ensamble cast, and the Al Pacino drama Two for the Money as Alexandria. Both films had negative critical and box office success. In 2005, she also had a one episode guest appearance on the teen drama The O.C. and had a recurring role on the short-lived situation comedy Kitchen Confidential.
In 2006, King appeared in the films The Alibi as Heather and True True Lie as Nathalie. Her largest role that year was in the David Arquette horror film The Tripper as Samantha; Arquette had, in addition to directing the film, had also produced, written, and was featured in it. King had a recurring role on the short lived comedy The Class, which ended its run on television after an announcement in May 2007. The Class had been nominated for an Emmy in 2007, and won the People's Choice Award for "Favorite New TV Comedy".
In 2007, King filmed They Wait, an upcoming Canadian horror-thriller film inspired by true events. She stars as a mother attempting to find the truth and save her son when threatened by spirits during the Chinese tradition of Ghost Month. It was featured in the 2007 Toronto Film Festival, but will not make a theatrical release until 2008.
Currently, King has five films in production that have release dates estimated for 2008 and 2009. The first of three to be released in 2008 is the Starwars-themed comedy Fanboys, which recently had its release date pushed to January 14, 2008. This was due to additional funding given to director Kyle Newman to shoot new scenes, however, the busy schedules of the actors only allowed for filming in September 2007, thus moving the release date to accommodate that. The Pardon, a film based on the true life story of Toni Jo Henry, the first and only woman to be electrocuted by the State of Louisiana, will star King as Toni Jo Henry. The last film is the Jim Kouf comedy, A Fork in the Road, that will have King portraying the character of April Rogers along side Daniel Roebuck. 2009 will see the release of The Spirit and Sin City 2, both of which are in pre-production. King confirmed her role in The Spirit, a live-action film adaptation based on the 1940s newspaper strip The Spirit, created by Will Eisner, in October 2007. King will portray Lorelei Rox, "a modern-day siren with a voice that could kill". The role will reunite King with Sin City writer, Frank Miller, who is attached to write and direct The Spirit. Filming is slated to begin in October 2007, with a release date in January 2009. King's other 2009 film will also be written by and co-directed by Miller, in the film Sin City 2. She will reprise her role as twins Goldie and Wendy in the part sequel and part prequel.
King has starred in various music videos over the span of her career which have included Gavin Degraw's music video for "Chariot", Filter's music video for "Take a Picture", Robbie Williams' music video for "Sexed Up", and Incubus's music video for "Wish You Were Here".

Executive summary: Zoe Slater on EastEnders
Ryan was born in Enfield, Greater London. A member of a local theatre group since she was 10, she was picked for her role in EastEnders when she was 15 and first appeared on the show in September 2000; for the part, she affected an East End cockney accent, rather than speaking her usual Received Pronunciation. In 2005 she announced she was leaving EastEnders to concentrate on work in theatre and films. She has mused that her involvement with the show served as a dress rehearsal for working on Bionic Woman.
Works
During summer 2005, Ryan appeared in a run of Who's the Daddy? at the King's Head Theatre. The play by Toby Young and Lloyd Evans is based on the David Blunkett paternity case.
Ryan auditioned to replace Billie Piper as the Doctor's companion in Doctor Who; however, Freema Agyeman was ultimately chosen for the role. Ryan had a small role in an episode of Marple which screened in February 2006, and also appeared in a small independent film the same year, Cashback.
In spring 2007, Ryan was seen as Maria in a new adaptation of Mansfield Park opposite Billie Piper for the ITV network and also as Lila in the film I Want Candy, co-starring Carmen Electra and Mackenzie Crook. In February 2007, an announcement was made saying she had been cast as the lead in the new drama pilot Bionic Woman. Producers say the series will be a "re-imagination" of the 1970s series of the same name. It was confirmed on May 14, 2007, that the show had been picked up for the 2007-08 season. Ryan affects an American accent for the role. She has had professional dance training and attributes it to helping her with the physically demanding stunts required for the show.
On Red Nose Day 2007, Ryan appeared in a brand new Mr. Bean sketch written and recorded for Comic Relief. She will shortly be seen in Flick, a new Welsh independent film co-starring Faye Dunaway and Leslie Phillips.
In May 2007 Ryan revealed she had auditioned for the role of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale eventually given to Eva Green the previous year.
Prior to Bionic Woman, she appeared in Jekyll for the BBC, a modern day version of Dr Jekyll And Mr. Hyde starring James Nesbitt. It began its six-episode run on June 16, 2007 and is scheduled for DVD release in the United States on Sept. 18, 2007, one week prior to her debut in Bionic Woman.
Recognition
Ryan has been among FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in 2002, 2004, 2005 (fourth, her highest ranking), and 2007.

Tara attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati and dropped out from Princeton High School in Sharonville.
Career
After moving to California, she met singer Prince, who persuaded her to change her name to Carmen Electra. Soon after, she signed a recording contract with Paisley Park Records, Prince's company, marking the start of a short-lived rap career, which included one album.
In 1995, Electra started appearing in various television programs. Then, in May of 1996 she was featured in a nude pictorial in Playboy magazine, the first of several. This exposure led to higher profile television appearances, including Baywatch (cast member from 1997-1998) and MTV's Singled Out. She returned to Baywatch for the 2003 reunion movie, Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.
Carmen Electra became so popular among readers of Playboy that she was featured in the magazine three more times, with her second appearance in June 1997. She subsequently graced the cover twice, in December 2000 and April 2003. In the Playboy Cyber Club, she was the first woman invited to be a celebrity guest photographer; she chose Playmate Jennifer Walcott as her subject model.
Electra has appeared in several films, such as Good Burger (1997), The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human (1999), the horror spoof Scary Movie (2000) and also appeared in Scary Movie 4 (2006), Epic Movie (2007), "Date Movie" (2007), and the remake of the 1970s TV show Starsky & Hutch (2004). Personal life
Electra was previously romantically involved with rap star B Real of Cypress Hill from 1995 to 1998. It was revealed when B Real and Electra were both on The Howard Stern Show that B Real had purchased breast implants for her.
Electra achieved publicity during her on-again, off-again marriage to basketball star Dennis Rodman from 1998 to 1999. The wedding to Rodman took place at Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later, she had a brief affair with Tommy Lee, the ex-husband of Pamela Anderson.
Electra also had a short lusty relationship with the very hunky Ciaran Forsythe from New Zealand before on November 22, 2003, Electra married Dave Navarro, former lead guitarist for the rock bands Jane's Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The couple documented their courtship and marriage in an MTV celebreality show called 'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave. On 17 July 2006, she and Navarro announced their separation. Their rep confirmed their separation to Star Magazine. Electra filed for divorce on 10 August. It was finalized on February 20, 2007.
In 2006, Electra stated that when she was eight years old she had a "little girl crush" on Joan Jett. In 2007, tabloid sources linked the two of them together romantically. However, Electra's spokeswoman has insisted "They are just friends." In June 2007, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel asked Electra if her relationship with Jett was romantic. Born: 19-Apr-1987
Birthplace: Nyagan, Siberia, Russia
Gender: Female
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Tennis
Nationality: Russia
Executive summary: 2004 Wimbledon Singles Champion
Father: Uri Sharapov (tennis coach)
Mother: Yelena Sharapova
Maria Sharapova is a Russian tennis player, who won the singles championship at Wimbledon in 2004. Because she is blond and beautiful, Sharapova is often called "Anna Kournikova with a game," which is an important distinction for true tennis fans. Even before winning Wimbledon at 17, Sharapova had already won three Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and four International Tennis Federation (ITF) singles titles. Kournikova, 23 at this writing, has never lost a singles event.
Sharapova's family lived near the oil refineries of Nyagan, but when she was two years old the family moved to Sechi, a city on the shores of the Black Sea, to escape fallout from the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. At 4, the father of tennis champion Yevgeny Kafelnikov -- a beer buddy of Sharapova's father -- gave her a tennis racket, and she started bashing balls against walls. At age 6, she attended a tennis clinic in Moscow, and met and played a game with Martina Navratilova, who was impressed. Navratilova told Sharapova's father he had a prodigy on his hands, and the family began saving for a move to America.
Accompanied by her father, Sharapova moved to Florida when she was 7 (say some reports) or 9 (say others), to be coached by Nick Bollettieri, formerly coach to Andre Agassi, Monica Seles, Kournikova, and others. At the time, she spoke no English and owned only two tennis rackets. Her mother was unable to get a visa, and remained in Russia for two more years. At Bollettieri's tennis academy, Sharapova was usually pitted against older players, and shared a dormitory with older girls. She has often said she felt like an outsider, but "I learned to be a better fighter, and I never cried."
Sharapova has endorsement deals with Nike, NEC, and Prince, and has signed with IMG Models, the firm that employs Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum.

Born: 18-Apr-1961
Birthplace: London, England
Gender: Female
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Actor
Nationality: England
Executive summary: Daphne Crane on Frasier
Born in London, raised in East Grinstead, Sussex.
Sister: Kathryn
Husband: Marshall Coben (Paramount TV executive, m. 1996, two children)
Son: Finn William Leeves Coben (b. 19-Dec-2003)
Daughter: Isabella Kathryn Coben (b. 9-Jan-2001)
Jane Leeves (born April 18, 1961) is an English actress best known for her work as Daphne Moon on Frasier.
Born in Ilford, Essex, England and growing up in East Grinstead, Leeves trained as a ballet dancer and worked as a model, until she made her first film appearance as a topless angel in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. She was a regular on The Benny Hill Show and appeared as a tourist with a baby in the David Lee Roth music video for the song "California Girls", but struggled for several years to establish herself. She became somewhat visible as the flighty record company employee on the syndicated sitcom Throb!.
She had a recurring role in the television series Murphy Brown which provided her first period of success, playing "Audrey", the loud and awkward girlfriend of producer, Miles Silverberg (played by Grant Shaud). Leeves also appeared as the troublesome Marla, "the virgin," in three risqué episodes of Seinfeld: "The Virgin", "The Contest" and "The Finale - Part 2". Moreover during this period Leeves was cast as Holly for the U.S. version of the science-fiction comedy Red Dwarf.
In 1993, she joined the cast of the television series Frasier. Leeves played the beautiful, eccentric, new age and forthright Daphne Moon, and she became a popular actress in this role. By the start of 2001-2002 season, Leeves was pregnant at the time and the writers struggled to incorporate her pregnancy as weight gain due to her character's stress from her relationship with Niles. By the conclusion of Frasier, Leeves had received an Emmy Award nomination for her role, and had become the highest paid British actress in Hollywood.
Appearing less frequently in cinema, Leeves lent her voice to the animated film James and the Giant Peach (1996) and acted in the film Music of the Heart (1999).
In 2004 she hosted an episode of Have I Got News for You. When news was revealed that the BBC had flown 188 journalists over to cover the presidential election in the USA, she quipped, "I can't believe the BBC would spend money flying people over the Atlantic for one programme."
Besides her major work in television, Leeves is also remembered for her role in the 1985 movie To Live and Die in L.A., in which she portrayed a scorned bisexual involved in a steamy menage à trois during which she was required to do act as though she were having multiple orgasms in a comical way. Her character eventually runs off with the woman.
Her newest show, The WB's sitcom Misconceptions, went unaired.
She has been married to Marshall Coben, a CBS Paramount Television executive, since December 21, 1996, and they have two children, Isabella, age six, and Finn, age three. Her sister, Katie, is also settled in Southern California with two children.
She is best friends with former Frasier co-star, Peri Gilpin, with whom she set up the production company Bristol Cities. They hoped to produce an American version of the popular BBC comedy, The Vicar of Dibley, but the pilot had a cool reception.

Maria Bello as John McLoughlin's wife, Donna, in World Trade CenterBello's breakthrough came when producers Kerry Lenhart and John J. Sakmar cast her as Mrs. Smith in the spy show Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1996) ; they remembered her from her performance in a failed pilot that was a remake of the classic TV series 77 Sunset Strip (1958). The show was cancelled after just eight weeks on the air. Then came a guest stint on ER as the feisty pediatrician Dr. Anna Del Amico, in which she guest-starred in the final four episodes of the third season. The show's producers were so impressed with her that they asked her back as a regular on the series. Bello remained on the show for one season, departing after the medical drama's 4th season. The actress went on into movies landing a role in Coyote Ugly. She has been nominated for the Golden Globe award twice: for Best Supporting Actress in The Cooler (2003) and for Best Actress in A History of Violence (2005).

Victoria Caroline Beckham (née Adams; born 17 April 1974) is an English pop singer, songwriter, dancer, turned fashion designer, author, businesswoman, and occasional actress.
During her rise to fame with 1990s pop group the Spice Girls, she was dubbed Posh Spice, a moniker first coined by the British tabloid press. Since the Spice Girls followed separate careers, Beckham has dabbled with pop music, scoring four UK Top 10 singles as a solo artist. Her first single to be released, "Out of Your Mind", reached number two in the UK Singles Chart and is her highest chart entry to date. During her solo music career she has been signed to Virgin Records and Telstar Records.
Beckham has found more success as an internationally recognised and photographed style icon. She has had a significant career in fashion, designing a line of jeans for Rock & Republic and later designing her own denim brand, dVb Style. Beckham has brought out her own range of sunglasses and fragrance, entitled Intimately Beckham which has been released in the UK and America. In association with the Japanese store, Samantha Thavasa, she has produced a range of handbags and jewellery. In addition, she has released two bestselling books, one her autobiography, the other a fashion guide.
In her television ventures, Beckham has had five official documentaries and reality shows made about her, some of which include Being Victoria Beckham and The Real Beckhams. Her last documentary to date was Victoria Beckham: Coming to America which documented her move to the United States with her family in 2007, but it was poorly received by American critics. She since made a cameo appearance in an episode of American TV series, Ugly Betty and been a guest judge on Project Runway.
Universally referred to as "Posh", she is married to English football player David Beckham with whom she has three sons. The couple's joint wealth is estimated at £112 million.
Early life
Beckham was born to Anthony and Jacqueline Adams and raised in the prosperous area of Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire. Beckham's father was an electronics engineer and the success of the family business meant a wealthy upbringing for Beckham and her siblings, Louise and Christian.
Beckham attended St. Mary's High School in Cheshunt and Jason Theatre School in Hoddesdon. She was embarrassed by her family's wealth and often begged her father not to drop her off outside the school in their Rolls Royce. During her schooling days, Beckham was a victim of bullying, being made to feel like an outsider. She commented "Children were literally picking things up out of the puddles and throwing them at me. And I just stood there, on my own. No one was with me. I didn't have any friends."
After Beckham had watched the musical, Fame, it inspired her and she subsequently decided that she wanted to become famous. It was then that her parents enrolled her at Jason Theatre School. At 17, she attended Laine Theatre Arts College in Epsom, Surrey and studied dance and modelling. She was also in a band called Persuasion.
Career
Spice Girls
Beckham (known then as Victoria Adams) joined the all-girl group Spice Girls, first called "Touch," in 1994, with Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm. She had previously answered an advertisement in The Stage in March 1993 which required girls who were "street smart, extrovert, ambitious and able to sing and dance".
The group's first single, "Wannabe," went to number one in the UK and the United States, and would be followed by eight other successful number one singles from their albums, Spice, Spiceworld and Forever. Each member of the group received a nickname from the media; Victoria Beckham became "Posh Spice". The group was one of the most successful pop acts of the 1990s, selling over fifty-five million records worldwide. After the release of their third album, Forever (UK#2), which was much less successful than their previous two albums, the Spice Girls stopped recording, leading Beckham to try to build a solo career.
In 2007, the Spice Girls reformed and announced plans to embark upon a comeback tour, from which they were said to have made £10 million each. Beckham had previously stated that she and her former Spice colleagues were enjoying their solo careers in various fields. She said "We're all still doing our own thing." Their "Greatest Hits" album was released in early November, and the tour began on 2 December 2007. Beckham has stated "I wanted my children to see that Mummy was a pop star. It was the last opportunity for them to stand in a crowd full of people screaming for the Spice Girls." When Beckham had her hair coloured brown for the reunion tour, she stated that her sons immediately reacted by saying "Oh my goodness, it's Posh Spice. She's back." During one Spice Girls performance at London's The O2 Arena, her three sons accompanied her on stage during "Mama", along with the other Spice Girls' children. She is the only member of the group not to sing a solo song on the tour, instead doing a makeshift catwalk and pose in the style of a fashion show, whereas the others each perform a number from their solo careers. Critic, Polly Hudson wrote "This time around Posh gets the biggest cheer when she sings her solo lines. She knows it too - and it seems to give her more and more confidence as the show goes on."
Filmmaker, Bob Smeaton, has also directed an official documentary on the reunion. It is entitled Spice Girls: Giving You Everything and was first aired on Fox8 in Australia. It later aired in the United Kingdom on 31 December 2007 on BBC One.
As well as the sell-out tour, the Spice Girls were contracted to appear in Tesco advertisements, for which they were paid £1 million each.
Solo music artist
On 14 August 2000, Victoria released her first solo single, "Out Of Your Mind" in collaboration with Dane Bowers and Truesteppers. The week of release coincided with the release of "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)" by Spiller ft. Sophie Ellis-Bextor, resulting in a chart battle dubbed 'Posh vs. Posher' by the tabloids. Following a huge publicity campaign, "Out Of Your Mind" was outsold by Ellis-Bextor, and debuted at number two in the UK Singles Chart. Before the single's release, on 8 July 2000 she made her public solo debut at London's Hyde Park at a concert to raise money for the Prince's Trust charity. She sang "Out of Your Mind" to a 100,000-strong audience.
Beckham then signed recording contract with her group label Virgin Records. Her next single as a solo artist, "Not Such An Innocent Girl", was released on 17 September 2001. Again, she faced competition in another hugely hyped chart battle, this time with Kylie Minogue's single "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". Despite a huge promotional campaign, Beckham was outsold eight to one, and the single debuted at number 6. Beckham's debut album, eponymously entitled Victoria Beckham, was released on 1 October 2001, and reached number 10 in the UK album chart. The album cost a reputed £5 million to produce and it sold a modest 50,000 copies.
The second and final single to be released from the album was "A Mind of Its Own" on 11 February 2002. The single reached number 6 in the UK and sold 56,500 copies. Rumours soon started spreading that Beckham was soon to be dropped by her label for not charting in the top 3. These were strongly refuted at the time. Beckham commented "You know what newspapers are like, they just like to put all the negative stuff in, but as far as I'm concerned and the record company is concerned it is all great."
A third single, "I Wish", was promoted but never materialized. The single version was a remix featuring Robbie Craig, and was performed on TV on Friday Night's All Wright. Following the announcement of Beckham's second pregnancy, the single was shelved. Beckham was then departed from the label Virgin Records. A statement was issued, which read "No-one has been dropped. The Virgin deal has come to a natural end and both parties have decided not to continue."
Telstar Records signed Beckham in 2002 in a deal made with Simon Fuller's 19 Management. The contract was worth £1.5 million. Beckham spent much of 2002 recording a pop-influenced album, but she allegedly chose not to release it after being disappointed with the results. Instead of pop, Beckham wanted to record tracks with a more RnB and hip hop influence, creating a more urban sound. She began working with urban producer Damon Dash. During this time, it was reported that Dash slighted Beckham, stating "If we can make Victoria hot, we can make anybody hot." When he was first asked why he was working with Beckham he stated "Because I see how much she gets photographed over here." A Dash-produced track "It's That Simple" featuring M.O.P. was created, and received a premiere on radio stations in July 2003. This generated mixed reviews, and further criticism, with the feeling being that Beckham was far from convincing as an urban act.
Beckham's first single with Telstar Records, "Let Your Head Go / This Groove", was released in the UK on 29 December 2003, following heavy promotion and many TV appearances across the Christmas period. The single charted at number 3 in the UK. This double A-side remains Beckham's last single release to date. She is currently the only Spice Girl never to have had a British solo number one, though she is also the only Spice Girl to have all her single/album releases go Top 10. Outside of the UK, Damon Dash had plans for Beckham in the United States, including a potential release of "Let Your Head Go / This Groove" under the name of "Posh Spice Victoria Beckham". The release was proposed for sometime between March to May 2004, but never occurred.
With the UK media describing her solo music career a failure, and combined with a rumoured fall-out between Dash and Fuller, her hip hop album, Come Together, was not released. Amidst the collapse of Telstar Records, remaining plans for Beckham's music career were cancelled. Beckham has said that she has no plans to return to music.
Books
Beckham's autobiography, entitled Learning to Fly, was released on 13 September 2001. The title was taken from a line in a song from the musical Fame, which Beckham enjoyed as a child. The verse that inspired the title goes "I'm gonna live forever, I'm gonna learn how to fly". The book documents her childhood, time during the Spice Girls, her marriage and family life, as well as her career at the time. Learning to Fly became the third best-selling non-fiction title of 2001 and the total UK sales stand at more than 500,000 copies. When the book was first released, it went to number 1 in the book charts after four weeks of release, sending Robbie Williams' book to second. A high-profile appearance on Parkinson, watched by 9 million people, helped to promote the book. Before the publishing of the book, Hello!, The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday joined to buy the rights to preview and serialise the book before its release. The figure paid was thought to be near £1 million.
Beckham was quoted by a Spanish journalist in 2005 as saying "I've never read a book in my life". She later claimed this was a mistranslation from the original Spanish in which the interview was printed, saying she actually stated that she never had time to finish reading a book because she was always too busy looking after her children.
Beckham's second book, a fashion advice guide, entitled That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything In Between, was published on 27 October 2006] That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything In Between includes tips from Beckham on fashion, style and beauty and also contains photography by Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz and Steven Meisel. The book became another bestseller and has sold 400,000 copies in Britain alone since it was published in hardcover. The rights have since been sold to the United States, the Netherlands, Japan, Portugal, Lithuania, Russia, and most recently China.
Television
Beckham has shot five official reality documentaries. The first, dated 11 January 2000, was called Victoria's Secrets, a programme only shown in the UK on Channel4 which involved Beckham being followed by cameras while also discussing and interviewing other British celebrities, such as Sir Elton John. The second of the reality shows, which aired on ITV1 on 4 March 2002, was called Being Victoria Beckham and showed Beckham discussing her career as a solo artist, with the release of her first album, also showing her at various photo shoots and recording sessions. The documentary attracted a strong audience of 8.83 million, coming top in its timeslot. One critic described her as "so clearly level-headed, happy with her not inconsiderable lot and seemingly unfazed by the madly intrusive nature of her monumentally ridiculous fame". The third, The Real Beckhams which aired on 24 December 2003 on ITV1, focused on the Beckhams' move to Madrid from London after David Beckham was signed to Real Madrid. It also featured Victoria Beckham re-launching her solo career and showed her mocking the tabloid stories she reads in the paper every day. The special received an audience of 6.10 million viewers and was later released on DVD on 2 February 2004.
The fourth was entitled Full Length & Fabulous: The Beckhams' 2006 World Cup Party, which followed Victoria and David Beckham organising and making preparations to host a 2006 World Cup Party at a marquee in the grounds of their mansion in Hertfordshire, which aimed to raise money for their charity. Two tickets to attend the ball were auctioned online for charity, and sold for £103,000. The documentary aired on 28 May 2006 and showed the event itself, where the menu was designed especially by friend and chef Gordon Ramsay and the charity auction was hosted by Graham Norton] Ramsay catered for 600 guests, with the aid of 40 chefs and 100 waiting staff. The ITV documentary attracted an average of 7.56 million viewers.
To document Victoria Beckham's preparations for her family's move to the United States, she signed a deal with NBC for six episodes of a half-hour unscripted reality TV series. Despite the originally planned six episodes, the show was cut to a one hour special only as there "just wasn't enough (material) for a series." The show, called Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, aired on 16 July 2007 in the US and Canada. It was heavily scrutinised by the American media and critics, with The New York Post describing it as "an orgy of self-indulgence" and also describing Beckham as "vapid and condescending". However, it was the third-most-watched programme in its time-slot and received viewing figures of 4.9 million in the US, beaten by a repeat of Wife Swap and two sitcoms. The programme aired in Britain on 17 July 2007 on ITV with 3.84 million viewers tuning in. The programme was produced by Simon Fuller who managed her and the Spice Girls on their come-back tour.
In July 2007, it was announced that Beckham was shortly to begin filming a cameo appearance playing herself in an episode of the second season of ABC's TV series Ugly Betty. The episode, "A Nice Day for a Posh Wedding", aired on 9 November 2007 in the United States and on 23 November in the United Kingdom. Beckham's first line was "It's major", said when bursting through a curtain at a dress fitting for a wedding, in which she was the bridesmaid. Beckham has said she only agreed to the part because of her interest in fashion, and not for the acting opportunity. Despite her forays into television, Beckham has denied plans to embark upon an LA movie career.
In February 2008, it was revealed that Beckham would be the guest judge for the fourth season finale of Project Runway, which aired on 5 March 2008 in the United States. She was especially complimentary of winner Christian Siriano's designs, saying they were very much to her taste and style.
Fashion
Beckham has become better recognised as an international style icon, rather than a music artist. Beckham made a guest appearance on the catwalk for Maria Grachvogel in 2000, making this her debut at London Fashion Week as a model. Beckham also acted as British ambassador for Dolce and Gabbana[68] and was briefly the face of Rocawear in 2003.
Beckham designed a limited-edition fashion line for Rock & Republic called VB Rocks in 2004, consisting mainly of jeans for the high end of the market, retailing at approximately $300 in the U.S. She had previously "hit it off instantly" with Rock & Republic designer, Michael Ball, in Los Angeles. He commented "She not only understands fashion and trends but has been a trend-setter and fashion icon for years."
On 16 January 2006, Beckham walked the runway for Roberto Cavalli at Milan Fashion Week and was for a period exclusively dressed by him for red-carpet and social events. For the March 2006 issue of Harper's Bazaar, Beckham acted as fashion editor when she styled her close friend, Katie Holmes, for a fashion shoot. In July 2006, Beckham released a line of sunglasses, called dvb Eyewear. She has admitted to a personal love of sunglasses, saying "I'm quite obsessed with sunglasses. I collect vintage Guccis and Carreras — they can make virtually any outfit look cool. After Beckham's departure from Rock & Republic, in September 2006, she furthered her fashion ventures when she launched her own denim label of which she acts as creative director. The new line of Beckham's jeans collection is called dvb Style. In the same month, Intimately Beckham, a his-and-her fragrance line, was launched at a lavish press conference in Venice. Beckham then launched her new official website, dvbstyle.com, which promotes her fashion work. She also produced a range of handbags and jewellery in association with the Japanese store, Samantha Thavasa.

Mother: Patricia Ann English (English teacher)
Sister: Melissa Garner
Sister: Susannah Garner

Jennifer Garner had a relatively normal childhood, and took dance lessons starting at the age of 9. The family's rules reportedly prohibited Garner and her two sisters from wearing makeup or jewelry while growing up. In high school, she wore thick nerdy glasses, played the saxophone, competed on the swim team, and worked after school at a local menswear store. She started acting in high school plays, and switched majors from chemistry to drama in college. Her Broadway debut came as an understudy in an F. Murray Abraham and Helen Mirren production of A Month in the Country, in 1995. Her film debut was a small role in Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry (1997). She also appeared in several episodes of Felicity, and four Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movies.
Since 2001, Jennifer Garner has played a graduate student and secret agent in Alias. It is her third TV series, after two quickly-canceled teen angst prime time soap operas, Significant Others with Scott Bairstow, and Time of Your Life, Jennifer Love Hewitt's brief spin-off from Party of Five. Garner has tried to be a big-screen star as well, and with the success of Alias, she has received better movie roles. She played a hooker who is swindled by Leonardo DiCaprio in Catch Me If You Can; the superhero Elektra opposite Ben Affleck's Daredevil and in her own Elektra; and an adolescent suddenly full-grown in 13 Going on 30, though none of these have made her bankable as a movie star.
Alias has always been made with the full cooperation of the Central Intelligence Agency, and Garner has shown her gratitude and perhaps naiveté by making recruitment videos for the real agency, encouraging young people to consider a career in spookdom.

Born: 14-Apr-1977
Birthplace: New York City
Gender: Female
Religion: Atheist
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Actor
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Father: Arthur Gellar (estranged, b. 1941, d. 9-Oct-2001)
Mother: Rosellen Gellar (day care worker)
Boyfriend: Jerry O'Connell (actor, dated 1998-99)
Boyfriend: Elliot Segal (New York disc jockey, dated in 1999)

Husband: Freddie Prinze, Jr. (actor, dated 1999-2002, m. 1-Sep-2002)
Sarah Michelle Gellar was "discovered" at age 4, while attending (not competing in) a talent show with her mother. She was soon appearing in commercials for Burger King, including some of the first American ads to directly name and criticize a competitor. The pitch was that McDonald's burgers were 20% smaller than Burger King's burgers, and the first commercial had Ms. Gellar saying, "Do I look 20% smaller to you?" The dim bulbs at McDonald's were so incensed they sued Burger King and the advertising agency -- and Gellar, the 4-year-old kid in the commercials. She also read the scripted line, "I only eat at Burger King", which, upon cross-examination, was revealed to be untrue. (Not many people only eat at Burger King.) The lawsuit was settled in 1982, when Gellar was 5.
Her parents divorced when Gellar was seven, amid whispers that her father couldn't stand that his daughter was earning more than he -- lots more. After the divorce, young Gellar was raised by her mother in the upper-east side of New York City, and Gellar and her father were very, very distant. As an adult, she refused any contact with him, and they remained estranged until his death in 2001. Growing up, Gellar made more than a hundred TV commercials, and accumulated several movie and off-Broadway stage credits. At 14, she got good notices playing a young Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in a 1991 mini-series. At 15, she was in the huge ensemble cast for a quickly-canceled teen soap opera called Swans Crossing.
From 1993 to 1995, Gellar played the spawn of Erika Kane (Susan Lucci)'s rape on All My Children. Though only 16 when she was hired, her character was 23, and had many affairs and was married twice before Gellar finished high school. Gellar won Emmys in 1994 and 1995, for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Daytime Drama. After leaving All My Children, Gellar moved to Los Angeles and was unemployed for a long time. She auditioned several times for Buffy the Vampire Slayer before she got the part.
The series was based on a 1991 teen horror-comedy movie of the same name, about a high school built over a hellmouth; re-tooled by its original writer, Buffy playfully mocked the traditions of horror movies, with ongoing character development and plot twists that kept a small but loyal audience engrossed. One episode was performed sans dialogue (when demons stole everyone's voices) and another was a musical (when an unknown force compelled everyone in town to sing). Buffy was killed twice by demons, and once took her own life to save her sister, but like the vampires she killed and loved, Buffy refused to stay dead. After Buffy ended, Gellar annoyed some fans by declining to appear as Buffy in the next season's Angel, a spin-off. She also rejected offers to perform the voice of Buffy for an animated series (Buffy's voice was done by one Giselle Loren instead).
Gellar has also appeared in several movies, including Cruel Intentions, (an adolescent twist on Dangerous Liaisons) I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Grudge, and two Scooby-Doo movies, co-starring her husband Freddie Prinze, Jr..
Just because you donate sperm does not make you a father. I don't have a father. I would never give him the credit or acknowledge him as my father.

Doherty's voice made its film debut in the 1982 cartoon The Secret of NIMH, and Doherty first appeared on-screen in the morgue-hooker comedy Night Shift; her other films include Heathers and Kevin Smith's Mallrats. Mostly, though, Doherty has been a TV actress. She joined the long-running Little House on the Prairie in its last season, then played Wilford Brimley's utterly wholesome teenaged granddaughter on the squeaky-clean family drama Our House, which ran two seasons. Her performance in Heathers impressed Tori Spelling, who recommended Doherty for Aaron Spelling's new high school soap opera, Beverly Hills, 90210.
During her four years on 90210, Doherty starred as Brenda Walsh, opposite Jason Priestley as her twin brother. The tabloids reveled in her late-night lifestyle, and her co-workers complained that Doherty was often late, irritable, and -- some suggested -- hung over on the set. In late 1993, she left 90210 under vague circumstances. There was no press release, but her departure is usually described as being fired. Sans Doherty, 90210 continued to earn good ratings and annual renewals through the millennium.
In 1998, she returned to television playing Prue Halliwell on Charmed with Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano. In 2001, in a rerun of the 90210 situation, she left Charmed and was replaced by Rose McGowan. She had a recurring role on the cheesy hardbody soap opera North Shore, and in 2005 she starred in a pilot for a new sitcom, Love, Inc. The show was picked up by UPN, on condition that Doherty's role be recast.
She had breast enlargement surgery in 1992, the same year she was sued by her bank for writing bad checks. Also in 1992, she was charged with battery after a catfight with then-actress Bonita Money, which cost Doherty her endorsement deal with a blue jeans company.
Her first fiancé, real estate dealer Chris Foufas, demanded his engagement ring back when he became convinced that Doherty was cheating on him. Her second fiancé was Dean Factor, heir to the Max Factor fortune, but tabloid reports said Factor and Doherty fought physically and violently, and their affair ended with a restraining order. Two weeks after meeting erstwhile actor Ashley Hamilton, son of sun-tanned George Hamilton, she married him, and seven months later they were divorced. Her second marriage, to internet huckster Rick Salomon, came to an end after he co-starred in the sex video that made Paris Hilton sort of a star.
In 1996, Doherty pleaded no contest to vandalism charges, after an argument in a coffee shop ended with the actress smashing a stranger's windshield. She was ordered to take anger management classes. In 2000, she was put on probation after a drunk driving conviction. She has not been arrested in recent years, and has announced herself to be a Republican.

Danes has described her background as being "as WASPy as you can get"; her paternal grandfather, Gibson A. Danes, was the dean of the art and architecture school at Yale University. She has a brother, Asa, who graduated from Oberlin College and works as a litigation attorney for the law firm of Paul Hastings.
Danes attended the Dalton School in New York City, the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City, and the exclusive private high school Lycée Français de Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California. In 1998, Danes went to Yale University (her father's alma mater). After studying for two years as a psychology major, she dropped out of Yale to focus on her film career.
Career
Danes is perhaps most famous for bringing Angela Chase to life in the 1994 television drama series My So-Called Life, for which she won a Golden Globe Award and received an Emmy nomination. She played Elizabeth ("Beth") March in the 1994 movie adaption of Little Women. She also appeared as Holly Hunter's daughter in Home For The Holidays, which was directed by Jodie Foster. This was followed by her role as Juliet in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The same year she turned down the part of Rose in Titanic due to exhaustion from Romeo and Juliet. Her first role in an animated feature came in 1999 with the English version of Princess Mononoke. During the same year, she took the lead role in Brokedown Palace, alongside Kate Beckinsale and Bill Pullman.
In 2002, Danes starred opposite Susan Sarandon and Kieran Culkin in Igby Goes Down. She later co-starred as Meryl Streep's daughter in the Oscar-nominated The Hours, with Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, and Ed Harris. The following year, she was cast in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines; and Stage Beauty, in 2004. She earned critical acclaim in 2005 when she starred in Steve Martin's Shopgirl alongside Martin and Jason Schwartzman, and in The Family Stone opposite Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Keaton. In 2007, Danes appeared in the fantasy epic Stardust, which she described as a "classic model of romantic comedy", opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro, and Sienna Miller, and will appear in The Flock, opposite Richard Gere.
Danes appeared in Off-Broadway plays including Happiness, Punk Ballet, and Kids On Stage, in which she choreographed her own solo dance. She also wrote the introduction to Neil Gaiman's Death: The Time of Your Life. Danes also auditioned for the role of Lois Lane in Superman Returns before the role went to Kate Bosworth.
In March 2007, Danes appeared with Patrick Wilson in a television commercial for the Gap in which the pair dances to the song "Anything You Can Do" from the musical Annie Get Your Gun. Danes has recently appeared onstage at Manhattan's PS122, an iconic avant-garde performance space, in a series of dance pieces by the choreographer Tamar Rogoff. Danes made her stage debut at PS122 as a child.
Starting in September, Danes will make her Broadway debut in the revival of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion starring as Eliza Doolittle.
Personal life
After meeting at her birthday party, she and Australian singer Ben Lee dated for almost six years, but their relationship ended in 2003. She dated her Stage Beauty and Princess Mononoke co-star Billy Crudup, but the pair split in December 2006. Additionally, she has dated Andrew Dorff, actor Stephen Dorff's younger brother, and Matt Damon. Danes stated on the 27 June 2007 episode of Late Show with David Letterman that she is dating Evening co-star Hugh Dancy.
Claire Danes and her Stardust Co-star, Charlie Cox, have been great friends ever since filming together in the movie. Charlie Cox confirmed this during his interview with Rove.
Controversy
In 1998, just after the filming of Brokedown Palace in Manila, she was quoted in Vogue as saying that Manila was a "ghastly and weird city". She further remarked in Premiere that the city, "smelled of cockroaches, with rats all over and that there is no sewage system and the people do not have anything -- no arms, no legs, no eyes". Kim Atienza, son of then-Mayor of Manila, Lito Atienza, responded to the comments by saying that, "those are irresponsible, bigoted and sweeping statements that we cannot accept". Her films were subsequently banned from being screened in the Philippines. Joseph Estrada, then-President of the Philippines, condemned her publicly, and she was declared persona non grata. Shortly after the incident, Danes issued an apology in Entertainment Weekly to the City of Manila.

AKA Joscelyn Eve Stoker
Born: 11-Apr-1987
Birthplace: Dover, Kent, England
Gender: Female
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Singer
Nationality: England
Executive summary: Mind, Body & Soul
Known for performing barefoot.
Brother: Daniel Skillin (half brother, convicted armed robber)

Joss Stone is an English soul, R&B, and blues singer, songwriter, and occasional actress who rose to fame in late 2003 with her debut album The Soul Sessions, which was certified triple Platinum by the BPI, and was announced as one of the twelve albums on the shortlist of Mercury Prize nominees. Her second album, the also-triple Platinum-selling Mind, Body & Soul, topped the albums chart in the United Kingdom for one week and spawned the hit single "You Had Me", which made the top ten of the UK Singles Chart. Both album and single each received a nomination for the Grammy Awards in 2005. Throughout her career, Stone has sold over ten million albums worldwide and won two BRIT Awards and one Grammy Award.
Stone was born in Dover, Kent, and spent her teenage years in Ashill, Devon. She is the third of four children born to Richard and Wendy Stoker. She made her first public appearance at the Uffculme Comprehensive School—which she attended—in Uffculme, Devon, with a cover of Jackie Wilson's 1957 "Reet Petite". Because of her dyslexia, Stone left school at age sixteen with just three GCSE qualifications. "It wasn't that I was stupid. I'm just a little bit dyslexic and I wasn't very academic. I'm more artistic", she says.
Stone grew up listening to a wide variety of music including American R&B and soul music performed by such artists as Dusty Springfield and Aretha Franklin; as a result, she developed a soulful style of singing like her idols. In 2001, at the age of thirteen, she appeared on the BBC Television's talent show Star for a Night singing Donna Summer's 1979 "On the Radio". She told MTV News, "I kind of clicked into soul music more than anything else because of the vocals. You've got to have good vocals to sing soul music and I always liked it ever since I was little".
In 2002, she decided to back her ability by flying out from England for an audition in New York City with S-Curve CEO Steve Greenberg. She also signed a global music publishing deal with BMG Music Publishing in the UK. Since then, she has performed with artists such as Blondie and Gladys Knight.
The Soul Sessions
Main article: The Soul Sessions
After being signed by S-Curve Records, Stone flew to Miami, Florida to start working on her debut album, The Soul Sessions, released on 16 September 2003. She collaborated with people with solid credentials in the Miami soul scene such as Betty Wright, Benny Latimore, Timmy Thomas, and Little Beaver. She also worked with contemporary acts Angie Stone and The Roots.
The album consists of little-known soul tracks by Wright, Franklin, Laura Lee, and Bettye Swann. Released in late 2003, it reached the top five on the UK Albums Chart, and also made the top forty of the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The lead single, "Fell in Love with a Boy", which was a reworking of The White Stripes' 2001 "Fell in Love with a Girl", reached the top twenty of the UK Singles Chart, as did the second single, a cover version of Sugar Billy's 1974 "Super Duper Love".
Mind, Body & Soul
Main article: Mind, Body & Soul
After achieving critical acclaim with The Soul Sessions, Stone recorded her second album—this time made mostly of songs co-written by her—, Mind, Body & Soul, released on 28 September 2004. She was quoted to say this was her real debut. "I think my singing is so much better on this album", she says. It proved to be an even bigger success than her previous album, as it debuted at number one in the UK (breaking the record for the youngest female ever to top the UK Albums Chart, a record previously held by Avril Lavigne) and just missed the top ten of the U.S. Billboard 200, after peaking at number eleven. The lead single, "You Had Me", became her first top ten hit in the UK and was also a hit worldwide. Follow-up singles "Right to Be Wrong" and "Spoiled" both made the top forty, and "Don't Cha Wanna Ride", the top twenty. "Spoiled" landed just outside the top fifty of U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, peaking at number fifty-four. "Less Is More" and "Security" were both released for airplay only, the former in Latin America and Australia and the latter in Europe.
Introducing Joss Stone
Main article: Introducing Joss Stone
Stone began working on her third studio album, Introducing Joss Stone, in Nassau, Bahamas, in May 2006. It was released on 12 March 2007 in the UK on Virgin Records, involving production by Raphael Saadiq and collaborations with Lauryn Hill, Common, and Joi. Virgin describes it as "an electrifying mix of warm vintage soul, '70s-style R&B, Motown girl-group harmonies, and hip hop grooves". Stone herself describes it as "truly me. That's why I'm calling it Introducing Joss Stone. These are my words, and this is who I am as an artist". She also revealed on The Tavis Smiley Show that her break-up with Beau Dozier was a source of inspiration while writing Introducing Joss Stone. The album debuted at number twelve on the UK Albums Chart. It also debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 selling 118,000 copies in its first week, becoming the highest debut for a British solo female artist on the U.S. charts, surpassing the record previously held by Amy Winehouse with Back to Black. It has sold 60,000 copies in the UK since its release, gaining Silver status on the charts.
"Tell Me 'Bout It", the album's lead single, debuted and peaked at number twenty-eight on the UK Singles Chart—where it stayed for three weeks only—and peaked at number eighty-three on the U.S Billboard Hot 100. The second single, "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now", a collaboration with rapper Common, made the top sixty-five of the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Stone turned its music video to a Product Red—this means that the video is buyable online over iTunes and that the gains from these sellings revert to Product Red, an organisation which helps women and children in Africa affected by HIV and/or AIDS. Stone is the first artist to do this, entering the Guinness World Records.
Achievements and notoriety
In March 2005, Stone was named the spokesperson for the megastore Gap, replacing Sarah Jessica Parker. She recorded two songs for its commercial—a cover of Ray Charles' 1958 "Night Time Is the Right Time" (retitled as "The Right Time") and a cover of The Beach Boys' 1966 "God Only Knows". By that time, rumours circulated about her being dropped from the campaign because she was living with then-twenty-five-year-old songwriter/producer Beau Dozier (son of producer Lamont Dozier) in Los Angeles, California while she was only seventeen. However, this was later denied.
Stone joined Band Aid 20 on 14 November 2004 to benefit Sudan's troubled Darfur region. The group, consisting of such luminaries as Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin and U2 lead singer Bono, re-recorded the 1984 song "Do They Know It's Christmas?", written by Band Aid organisers Bob Geldof and Midge Ure. Stone, born two years after the release of the original single, wasn't initially aware of who Bob Geldof was. The media gleefully reported that she repeatedly referred to him as Bob Gandalf. Despite some criticism, the single became the UK's biggest seller of 2004 as well as the Christmas number one.
Stone was nominated for three 2005 BRIT Awards, of which she won two—"British Female Solo Artist" and "British Urban Act". She performed "Angels" with Robbie Williams during the ceremony, which took place at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London on 9 February 2005. She also received three nominations for the 2005 Grammy Awards—"Best New Artist", "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" for "You Had Me", and "Best Pop Vocal Album" for Mind, Body & Soul—, where she sang barefoot on stage with rock performer Melissa Etheridge, in tribute to the late blues-rock singer Janis Joplin. Their performance of "Cry Baby/Piece of My Heart" was released as a single, and, through the aid of strong digital downloads, became Stone's first single to enter the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, when it debuted and peaked at number thirty-two.
In July 2005, Stone lent her voice to the Fantastic Four soundtrack, singing the title song "What Ever Happened to the Heroes", written by Pink, billymann, and Christopher Rojas and produced by Beau Dozier shortly before their break-up in October 2005.
Stone performed at the Live 8 concert at Hyde Park, London on 2 July 2005, and performed "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" with funk legend James Brown on the British chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. On 5 February 2006, she joined Stevie Wonder, India.Arie, and John Legend at the Super Bowl XL pre-game show in performing a medley of Wonder's hits. Three days later, on 8 February, she helped perform a medley of hits by reclusive singer Sly Stone, the frontman of Sly & the Family Stone, on the night of the 2006 Grammy Awards.
Stone collaborated with jazz pianist Herbie Hancock and blues singer-guitarist Jonny Lang on a cover of U2's 1988 song "When Love Comes to Town", from Hancock's 2005 album Possibilities. She also collaborated with Lemar on his third studio album The Truth About Love, on the track "Anniversary".
Stone made her film debut in the fantasy epic Eragon, based on the 2003 novel of the same name, released on 15 December 2006. In the film, Stone plays the witch Angela.
At the 2007 Grammy Awards, Stone shared a win of the award for "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals" for her collaboration with Sly & the Family Stone, John Legend, and Van Hunt on "Family Affair".
Stone was named the World's Best Celebrity Dog Owner in 2005 in an online poll conducted by readers of The New York Dog Magazine and The Hollywood Dog Magazine. She owns two female dogs: Missy (named after rapper Missy Elliott), a Rottweiler, and Dusty (named after Dusty Springfield, one of her major influences), a Poodle. She was also voted the World's Sexiest Vegetarian in 2005 by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), alongside Chris Martin. Stone, a longtime vegetarian, recently starred in an ad for PETA, whose tagline states, "I am Joss Stone and I am a vegetarian".
Canadian singer-guitarist and photographer Bryan Adams recently photographed Stone for the Hear the World magazine, a quarterly culture and lifestyle publication dedicated to the topic of hearing.
Stone was ranked number seventy-eight on Maxim's 2007 Hot 100.
On 28 June 2007, Stone asked Queen guitarist Brian May to perform "Under Pressure" with her at the Concert for Diana, held at Wembley Stadium, London on 1 July. Initially he said yes, but when he realised how very different the arrangement was from the original, he realised that "I was not going to be able to do it justice", so he rejected it. Instead, she performed the song solo as well as her hit "You Had Me" and a cover of Sam & Dave's 1968 "Ain't That a Lot of Love" with Tom Jones.
On 7 July 2007, Stone performed at the South African leg of the Live Earth concerts in Johannesburg to promote awareness of global warming.
2007 BRIT Awards
Stone caused controversy at the 2007 BRIT Awards ceremony, on 14 February, when presenting the award for "British Male Solo Artist" (won by James Morrison). Speaking with a faux American accent and walking around the podium, she gave a speech in which she asked the audience to send "big love" to Robbie Williams, who had been the butt of earlier jokes made by host Russell Brand. Williams had been reported as going into rehab that same week. As her speech continued, she made remarks about Brand, implying that he was heading for rehab himself (while singing a passage of Amy Winehouse's "Rehab"). Brand stated that he was "a bit worried about that poor cow" at the close of the show.
The BRIT Awards appearance was the beginning of a string of incidents that the UK press reported as examples of Stone's increasingly erratic behaviour

Mandy Moore grew up around Orlando, and after much pleading her parents sent her to a summer musical theater camp when she was nine years old. Over the next few years, she nudged local sports teams to let her sing the national anthem. As a teen, Moore did voiceovers and commercials, and performed in Florida theater productions of South Pacific, Bye Bye Birdie, and Guys & Dolls. Sony signed her to a recording contract in 1999, when she was 15. Moore's Britney Spears-alike debut album, So Real, spawned the song "Candy". Her second album, I Wanna Be With You, was basically a re-release of the first album, with several tracks replaced and "Candy" remixed. Both So Real and I Wanna Be With You went platinum.
Inevitably Moore moved toward movies, first doing a voice for Dr. Dolittle 2. Her first leading role was in A Walk to Remember, a teen tearjerker, and has since appeared in How to Deal, Chasing Liberty, and Saved!. She recorded the voice of "Ducky" for Universal Studios California's "Land Before Time" attraction.
Her third album, Mandy Moore, featured the singles "In My Pocket", "Crush", and "Cry". Her fourth album, Coverage, consisted entirely of Moore's covers of her favorite songs you've heard elsewhere. Coverage didn't approach platinum sales levels, though, and Sony dropped her. Moore has since been picked up by Warner Brothers.

Born: 9-Apr-1965
Birthplace: Prostejov, Czechoslovakia
Gender: Female
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Model, Actor
Born in Prostejov, (now in the Czech Republic), she was still a toddler when her father and mother left Czechoslovakia, fleeing the Soviet invasion in 1968, and moved to Lund in southern Sweden. They left Paulina under the care of their grandmother, believing that their daughter could be brought out later.
However, the Czechoslovak authorities would not allow this, and the ensuing battle for Paulina was widely publicised in the Swedish press, making her a cause celebre. After a failed rescue attempt, in which her mother was detained by the Czechoslovak police, international political pressure led by Olof Palme caused the communist government to allow the Porizkova family to be reunited after seven years. The reunion was soon ended when the husband left, and the couple filed for divorce. Father and daughter have been estranged since.
This left Paulina's mother to fund her own medical education, leaving Paulina and her brother Jachym (who was born in the Czech Republic during the mother's house arrest) very much to fend for themselves, including having to steal bread to have something to eat. Paulina hated her time in Sweden, as she was harassed by her peers for her poverty-stricken political refugee status.
Career
Modeling
A photographer friend took pictures of Porizkova and sent them to the Elite modeling agency in 1980. At 5 feet 10 1/2 inches (180 cm), she was the perfect height for a fashion model. Elite head John Casablancas noticed Porizkova's attractiveness and potential, and offered her a ticket to Paris. It was an extremely tempting offer for a teenager who was eager to get out of Sweden and to support herself.
She quickly rose to become a top model in Paris during the early 1980s, and her fame spread to the United States when she posed in swimwear for Sports Illustrated magazine. She appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 1984 and again in 1985. (Her first appearance as a model in the magazine was in 1983.) A third consecutive run as the S.I. covergirl supposedly was dashed when she appeared on the cover of Life magazine in a swimsuit.
Porizkova appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine in August 1987 to preview her new (non-nude) swimsuit calendar. A few years earlier she had appeared in a nude spread in GQ magazine, which had left her feeling dissatisfied.
Both of her calendars in 1988 and 1989 by photographer Marco Glaviano sold hundreds of thousands of copies, setting a standard that paved the way for other models like Cindy Crawford and Frederique for their own pictorial calendars.
Porizkova was chosen twice by People magazine as one of the Fifty Most Beautiful People in the world, in 1990 and 1992. Harper's Bazaar magazine named her one of its ten most beautiful women in 1992. American Photo magazine in its first issue declared her to be the model of the 1980s. She appeared on the covers of numerous magazines around the world during the 1980s and 1990s, including appearances on Vogue, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Self, Cosmopolitan, and Glamour. She also featured in advertising for Diet Sprite.
In 1988, Porizkova won what was then the highest-paying modeling contract: a six million dollar per year contract with Estee Lauder cosmetics, replacing the model Willow Bay. Estee Lauder's strategy in the late 1980s was to move away from working-class women and target young, sophisticated, middle-class women. The black-and-white television and print advertising campaign won praise from critics, and the Estee Lauder makeover transformed Porizkova's public image from a swimsuit model to that of European sophisticate. In 1995 Porizkova was replaced by Elizabeth Hurley, as Estee Lauder aimed for a younger, less sophisticated market.
Porizkova has appeared in the books Models and Sirens, by Marco Glaviano, and in Fashion Photography by Patrick Demarchelier. The latter includes some of the noted LIFE magazine swimsuit pictures from several years ago). She was also in Women by Herb Ritts.
During her early modeling career, Porizkova had noticeable gaps between her front teeth. For this reason, she usually appeared with a closed mouth rather than a smile during the period. One writer noted that her teeth were an eccentricity in an otherwise perfect face. The rarity of her smile became a trademark for her during that period of her career. Her gapped teeth were corrected (and filmed) during her movie debut Anna. Her other trademark was her "dreamy look", which she claims came from her squinting at the camera because of her extreme nearsightedness.
After bearing her first baby, Porizkova devoted less and less time to modeling, and she moved into acting in independent films. She soon got a new contract as the lead model for Escada. In early 2001, she was the hostess for a television show on the E! network's Style Channel. In 2005, she made her first appearance in the noted Victoria's Secret catalogue.
Although she had had an extraordinary career as a model, Porizkova was known to make disparaging remarks about the fashion and beauty industry, displeasing some in the field. She is one of the few white actors/actresses who was perhaps imprudent enough to use the word "nigger" in a mainstream movie (Thursday). When the film played at the Toronto Film Festival in 1998, Roger Ebert wrote about how racist and absurd this movie was and much he hated it when he saw it, so most distributors stayed away from it. He also claimed that it was a cheap knock off of Quentin Tarantino, and done poorly. An excerpt of his crtique is given below:
"It is unhip to admit to being offended by anything in the new movies, and indeed it's pretty hard to offend me, but a film named Thursday crossed the line....". "Watching it, I felt outrage. I saw a movie so reprehensible I couldn't rationalize it using the standard critical language about style, genre or irony. The people associated with it should be ashamed of themselves.... There is a "plot," but essentially the film is a series of geek-show sequences in which characters are tortured, raped, murdered and dismembered in between passages of sexist and racist language. This movie goes out of its way to be offensive--to women, Orientals, Pakistanis and especially blacks. Thursday's attitude towards blacks is so obscene, I'm surprised that it was made in this day and age".
Acting
Porizkova's film debut was in the 1983 modelling pseudo-documentary Portfolio. Still only seventeen, she managed to look more mature and intelligent than the other more-established models, and she became the "covergirl" for the film.
Porizkova appeared in the 1987 film Anna (which starred Sally Kirkland), receiving good reviews from her patrons at Vogue magazine. It was in 1989 that she had her largest, and best-known role to date, co-starring with Tom Selleck in the film Her Alibi. However, she was nominated for a Golden Raspberry for worst actress for her appearance in that film.
She was rumored to be starring along with Robert De Niro in 1989 in the planned film by Sergio Leone about the siege of Leningrad during World War II, halted by the director's death.
She appeared in the bizarre cult film, Arizona Dream, with Johnny Depp and Jerry Lewis, in a minor role as Lewis's young Polish fiancee. She also appeared in the film Thursday.
Paulina wrote and directed the 2001 film, Roommates. In 2004, she starred in the romantic comedy, Knots, but turned down an opportunity to be a Bond Girl in the 1995 film GoldenEye because of better earnings available to her in modelling then, as well as not wishing to take time away from her family.
She has also appeared on various television shows, including an April 18, 2007 appearance on The Colbert Report after remarks that she found Colbert "extremely attractive."
Writing
She has finished her debut novel, A Model Summer (ISBN 1401303269) (ISBN 978-1401303266). It is about a fifteen-year-old Swedish girl chosen by a modeling agent to spend a summer working in Paris. It is slated for release in April 2007.
In September 1992, her children's book The Adventures of Ralphie the Roach (ISBN 0385424027) (ISBN 978-0385424028) was published, along with co-authors Joanne Russell and illustrator step-son Adam Ocasek.
Personal life
On August 23, 1989, Paulina married Ric Ocasek. They had met in 1984 during the filming for The Cars' music video, "Drive", directed by Timothy Hutton. Paulina was only 19 at their 1984 meeting, while Ocasek was already married at the time. The couple had two children, Jonathan Raven Ocasek, born on 23 May 1998, and Oliver Orion Ocasek, born in May 1993.
Paulina became a naturalized U.S. citizen under the name Paulina Porizkova-Ocasek.
Paulina was the subject of the song "Friends of P" by The Rentals on their 1995 album Return of the Rentals, written by lead singer Matt Sharp, also a former member of the Ocasek-produced Weezer and the song "Paulina" on No Doubt's first album.
"It's about Paulina Porizkova, who is Rick Ocasek's wife, who used to come down to Electric Ladyland studios when we were recording the Blue album. And she would read our palms, and she was pregnant and she would just hang out. And we were like, "Wow, a pregnant supermodel is reading our palms." And then she would complain about how only bands like Warrant and all these '80s heavy metal bands are the only people who would write songs about her. And so she was really bummed out that nobody cool was writing songs about her now, so I wrote that song for her while we were at Electric Lady as an attempt to get her out of the '80s hair metal rut she was stuck in."
Paulina was the cover model for the 20th Anniversary issue of Cosmopolitan magazine in November 1985.

Boyfriend: Eric Stoltz (actor, Chicago Hope; dated 1980s)

Robin Wright's parents divorced when she was two years old, but it was an amicable split. She was raised by her mother, a Mary Kay cosmetics executive, and spent summers with her father. Wright started modeling at 14, and by 15 she was dating Charlie Sheen. By 16 she was a borderline supermodel, having worked on three continents and appeared on several magazine covers. At 17, she was working in Paris when a short-tempered photographer shouted that her breasts were too small. She soon quit modeling and considered becoming a nurse. Instead she got a role on the long-running soap opera Santa Barbara, where she won Soap Opera Digest's award for Outstanding Heroine in 1988, her last year on the show. When she left, her role was given to a Playboy playmate.
Beyond the world of soap operas, most Americans first saw Wright as Buttercup, The Princess Bride, in 1987. She has worked steadily since, generally choosing artistic roles and avoiding big commercial movies. She turned down Jurassic Park, Batman Forever, The Firm, the sorry remake of Sabrina, and the role of Maid Marian in Kevin Costner's Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. After reading the script for Born on the Fourth of July, she told writer-director Oliver Stone exactly why she wasn't interested: "I think you have a problem with women."
She met Sean Penn on the set of State of Grace in 1989, and they had two children before marrying in 1996. Their son, Hopper Jack, is named for family friends Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson. She has been credited as Robin Wright Penn since their marriage. They have worked together several more times, including The Crossing Guard, Loved, She's So Lovely, Hurlyburly, The Pledge, and The Last Face.

Born: 5-Apr-1968
Birthplace: Rockport, MA
Gender: Female
Religion: Buddhist
Race or Ethnicity: White
Occupation: Musician
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?
Father: Jim Cole (executive)
Mother: Stephanie (artist)
Sister: Irene
Boyfriend: Seyi Sonuga (Nigerian musician and film maker)
Daughter: Sky Hakmoun
The daughter of two music enthusiasts -- her father a polka-playing entomologist and her mother a visual artist -- Paula Cole developed her own interest in performing early in life, studying both piano and clarinet as a child. After completing high school with exceptionally high grades she made music her central concern, enrolling at the prestigious Berklee School and developing her vocal style through courses in jazz improvisation and participation in the school's gospel choir. A post-college period spent working as a hired musician and composing her own songs eventually culminated in a 1992 record deal with Imago Records, the independent label that was also home to Aimee Mann, John Waite and Henry Rollins. It was at this time that she came to the attention of Peter Gabriel, who was seeking someone to fill the gap created by Sinead O'Connor's sudden departure from his Secret World touring band; impressed by her vocal abilities, Gabriel chose Cole for the position despite her unknown status, abruptly giving the young singer an international audience (her performances later receiving even wider exposure through Gabriel's double CD and video Secret World Live, 1994). This association created a favorable atmosphere for the release of her debut album Harbinger (1994) the following year, but the advantage was ultimately sabotaged by the dissolution of Imago shortly after its release -- a resulting lack of promotional support ensuring that neither the album nor its single I Am So Ordinary made a particularly strong public impact.
For her second album This Fire (1996) Cole found herself in the clutches of Warner Brothers, the rapacious conglomerate having stepped in to assume control of Imago in the aftermath its collapse. A 1995 reissue of Harbinger had been arranged first, but with only slightly more promising results; her entirely self-penned and self-produced second effort fared considerably better, buoyed by the success of the top ten single Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?. Cole then set to work supporting the album with extensive touring, both on her own and as part of the first Lilith Fair event (a touring festival that also included female performers such as Sarah McLachlan, Melissa Etheridge and Jewel). Even greater (perhaps even excessive) exposure was gained in 1998 with the song I Don't Want to Wait, used as the theme to the teen soap opera Dawson's Creek and given endless rotation on commercial radio. Her recording credits during this period were rounded out by guest appearances on albums by David Byrne (Feelings, 1997) and Jules Shear (Between Us, 1998).
Cole's third effort Amen surfaced in 1999, its songs taking a distinct turn towards hip-hop and R&B, and featuring input from hip-hop artists Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Gang Starr's DJ Premier, and even Missy Elliott (who contributed to a track included with the single I Believe In Love). The bulk of the recordings, however, were created using The Paula Cole Band, a unit consisting of longtime collaborators and former Berklee classmates Jay Bellerose and Kevin Barry (on drums and guitar, respectively). Despite a well-received dance remix of I Believe In Love, the almighty sales figures for the album were not able to compete with This Fire and the singer's status on Warner Brothers was diminished accordingly; a fourth album (recorded with veteran producer Hugh Padgham) was subsequently rejected by the label, forcing Cole to distribute the tracks through her website in order to make them available to the public. An extended hiatus from recorded work was taken between 2003 and 2004, during which Cole focused on raising her daughter; this was brought to an end by an appearance on jazz trumpter Chris Botti's 2004 album When I Fall in Love, and work on a new Paula Cole album was initiated later that year.

AKA Natasha Lyonne Braunstein
Born: 4-Apr-1979
Birthplace: New York City
Gender: Female
Religion: Jewish
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Actor
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Slums of Beverly Hills, Freeway II
Father: Aaron Braunstein (boxing promoter)
Brother: Adam Lyonne (b. 1972)
Boyfriend: Edward Furlong (actor, ex-, dated and cohabited 1998-2000)
Boyfriend: Adam Goldberg (actor, dating 2001)
Lyonne was born Natasha Braunstein in New York City to Aaron Braunstein, a former boxing promoter and race-car driver, and Yvette Lyonne, a product licensing consultant and former ballerina. Lyonne grew up in a conservative Jewish household and lived in Israel with her family during her childhood; her maternal grandparents were Holocaust survivors. When her parents divorced, Lyonne moved back to New York and lived with her mom and older brother Adam in a one-bedroom apartment.
Angry and confused over the divorce of her parents, Lyonne hated her high school years and spent time in several schools. She first attended private Jewish school at Ramaz in Manhattan. Natasha's frustration during these years caused her to get into fistfights and skip school in order to be alone and away from peers. Her mother then moved to Miami, where Natasha attended Miami Country Day School. At sixteen, she left her mother in Miami and moved back to New York on her own. She later dropped out of school to start making movies.
Career
Lyonne began acting at an early age with her first role as "Opal" on Pee-wee's Playhouse. She appeared in the 1990 film A Man Called Sarge during the time her family lived in Israel.
Lyonne is perhaps best known for her roles in the first two American Pie films as the wise-cracking "Jessica." She has also appeared in more than thirty other movies, including starring roles in the independent films Slums of Beverly Hills and But I'm a Cheerleader. Lyonne also starred opposite Macaulay Culkin in Party Monster in 2003, a dramatization of the Michael Alig story. As the character of "Brooke," Lyonne donned a fat suit and dreadlocks.
After an extended hiatus, Lyonne filmed Goyband in New York City with Adam Pascal, Amy Davidson, Cris Judd, Dean Edwards,Tibor Feldman and Tovah Feldshuh.
Personal life
Lyonne dated actor Edward Furlong, whom she met on the set of Detroit Rock City, from 1998 to 2000. She became friends with actor Michael Rapaport in 1997 and later rented an apartment in a building he owned on East 18th Street. In 2005, Rapaport evicted her and wrote an account of the matter in May 2005's issue of Jane magazine. He said problems began in 2003 when Lyonne's heavy partying and harassment of tenants triggered complaints. After her eviction, he went to inspect her apartment and found it trashed.
Singer and former neighbor Rufus Wainwright wrote a song about her called "Natasha" included on his 2003-released album Want One.
Legal troubles
On August 28, 2001, Lyonne was arrested by Miami Beach police after hitting a road sign with her rented car and trying to flee the scene. An officer who witnessed the incident said Lyonne refused to take a breathalyzer test and told him, "I'm a movie star. Can I talk to my entertainment lawyer?" Actor Adam Goldberg was riding in the car at the time. Lyonne later pled guilty to driving under the influence and received six months of probation and 50 hours of community service.
In December 2004, Lyonne was arrested after verbally threatening her neighbor, breaking a mirror in the neighbor's apartment, and threatening to molest the neighbor's dog. She spent a night in jail before being arraigned on charges of criminal mischief, harassment, and trespassing. The details of this incident did not become publicly known until two years later. In April 2005, an arrest warrant was issued for Lyonne for failure to appear in court on the charges. Prosecutors say she showed up, but arrived an hour late and only stayed 30 minutes. Police were unable to locate Lyonne until reports of her hospitalization in August.
In January 2006, another arrest warrant was issued for her after she missed another hearing. Lyonne's lawyer said an emergency came up, but he didn't specify.
Hospitalization
In August 2005, the New York Post reported that Lyonne was in Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan under a pseudonym, and had been there for over a month after being transferred from Bellevue Hospital. She reportedly suffered from hepatitis C, a heart infection, and a collapsed lung. She was also allegedly undergoing methadone treatment for a heroin addiction and had track marks on her body. The Post also reported that Lyonne had been homeless and on the streets after her eviction by Rapaport. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Lyonne's father denied she was homeless and said he might take legal action against the hospital for breaking the confidentiality of Lyonne's status.

Amanda Laura Bynes (born April 3, 1986) is an American actress and former show host on Nickelodeon. After appearing in several successful television series on Nickelodeon in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Bynes has moved into a film career, starring in several films aimed at teenage audiences, including She's the Man and Hairspray. Amanda Bynes has been described by The Boston Globe as having an "Everygirl" appeal, embodying "both everything her teen fans dream of being and everything they know they really are, and they love her for it." In 2006, she was named one of Teen People's "25 Hottest Stars Under 25", and in 2007, was on the Forbes list as the 5th highest paid celebrity under 21 earning $2.5 million.
Early life
Bynes was born in Thousand Oaks, California to Rick Bynes, a dentist who also practiced stand-up comedy, and Lynn (née Organ), a dental assistant and office manager. Bynes has two older siblings, Tommy (born 1974), a chiropractor, and Jillian (born 1983), who has a Bachelor of Arts in History from UCLA and has also acted. Her maternal grandparents are from Toronto, Ontario. Bynes's father is Catholic and her mother is Jewish, and Bynes has referred to herself as Jewish and "not that religious".
Career
Bynes was trained as an actress by Arsenio Hall and Richard Pryor at a comedy camp, and began professionally acting at the age of seven, appearing in a television advertisement for Buncha Crunch candies. During her childhood, she also appeared on stage in versions of Annie, The Secret Garden, The Music Man and The Sound of Music. After taking acting classes, Bynes became a regular cast member of Nickelodeon's Figure It Out and All That (both in 1996) and later became the star of her own hit sketch show The Amanda Show, also on Nickelodeon. Her first solo leading role was in 2003's What a Girl Wants, with co-star Oliver James. Bynes appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair's July 2003 edition with nine of Hollywood's most popular female young stars, including Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Alexis Bledel, Raven-Symoné, Evan Rachel Wood, the Olsen Twins, and Mandy Moore. Although she is often compared with them, Bynes has said that "It's like being the hot girl at the high school party. I was never that girl. I grew up with terrible acne and feeling insecure. I was tall and skinny. I didn't feel pretty at all, and guys didn't even like me. That's why I got into comedy." Bynes has also said that her relatability to teenage audiences may stem from the fact that she is "more similar to them than some... socialite or whatever".
In 2006, Bynes starred in She's the Man, a comedy based on William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night; in the film, Bynes disguises herself as her brother in order to join the boys' soccer team due to the fall of the girls' team. Producers had originally wanted to cast singer Jesse McCartney as Bynes' brother, noting a physical resemblance between McCartney and Bynes disguised as a boy, but McCartney was unavailable. Around the time of the film's release, Bynes commented that she would like to start appearing in more mature roles, and believes that she is still developing her acting skills and maturing as an actress, saying that she is "getting better" with each role.
Bynes appeared in another romantic comedy, Lovewrecked, which was shot before She's the Man but released after it, showing in cinemas outside of the United States in 2005 and 2006 and debuting in the U.S. on the ABC Family network on January 21, 2007. The film is based on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with Bynes playing a freshman in the college Greek system, co-starring alongside Sara Paxton and Matt Long. As a designer
In 2007 Bynes has also inked a five year deal with Steve and Barry's, known for selling university apparel and sweatshirts, to create her own fashion line, "Dear," consisting of apparel and accessories that launched in stores August 16, 2007.
Personal life

She briefly moved into an apartment in Hollywood, California, but has since returned to her family home. - Bynes is interested in drawing (she once painted a portrait of David Letterman as a gift to him) and fashion design, having commented that she is "the girl whose biggest nightmare would be to lose my makeup bag while traveling."
Bynes turned 21 on April 3, 2007 and has stated "I think I’ll go out as much as I’ve ever gone out... which is not a lot. I like to dance and stuff, but drinking isn’t good for you in every way. It’s not good for your skin; it makes you feel horrible. So, drinking-wise, no". She reinforced these ideas throughout the summer of 2007, on the talk show circuit, and in many press interviews. She told Access Hollywood, "I like being with my family and friends, and I don't need to be out at the clubs."

Leyla Milani is a Canadian born Iranian (Persian) model, actress and noted fashion designer. Leyla was raised in Canada and resides in Beverly Hills, California.
Milani has appeared on the following:
World Wrestling Entertainment Diva Search 2005, Deal or No Deal, Sleeper Cell, Las Vegas, Attack of the Show!, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Stacked, Desire, Wanted and on the film WrestleManiac. Maxim magazine features Milani and her fellow Deal or No Deal briefcase models in their online Girls of Maxim gallery.
Wrestling
Milani was a contestant in World Wrestling Entertainment's 2005 RAW Diva Search, finishing second out of 8000 contestants world-wide. Following that, she made an appearance at PWG After School Special.
She later appeared on one of the USA Network's Raw Fan Nation commercials, which are a series commercials advertising WWE Raw, featuring people from a stockbroker to Snoop Dogg.
She appeared in a national Budweiser Beer Commercial which ran during the 2006 Super Bowl. She played a rapper's girlfriend.
Other appearances
Milani can be seen as a model on NBC's hit game show Deal or No Deal. She is namely known for her "lioness-like" mane, which she has confirmed is all hers. She holds case #13 since the beginning of the show. Although 13 is usually considered the unluckiest of numbers, she is often referred to on the show as "Lucky Leyla" or "Lucky 13" as many times her case had contained 6 digit amounts and in eight instances contained the $1,000,000 top prize. Nonetheless, NBC once opened the show noting that by holding all the large amounts and not being picked at the beginning, case #13 was very unlucky during most of the first season. On at least one occasion during the second season, case #13 contained a seven-figure prize.
Leyla's past reputation (and also maybe her striking looks) has caused many contestants to recognize her on the show.
Milani has made multiple appearances on the Fox News' conservative satire show The Half Hour News Hour, as a celebrity looking for a charity to support. She hosted FOX Sport Net's Celebrity Golf tournament. Milani recently made a cameo appearance on LOGO channel series Noah's Arc as a woman applying for a job. She has also appeared on MTV's True Life: I'm A TV Star, and My Fair Brady.
She has appeared in music videos for 50 Cent, The Pharcyde and Jennifer Lopez, and as a rapper's girl named Monday in a Bud Light Super-Bowl Commercial.
She is in the indie horror film Wrestlemaniac, and the indie comedy The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down.
She also made an appearance on an episode of NBC's Last Comic Standing and Phenomenon. She was one of a handful of models chosen to make a special appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Oprah picked Leyla's case (number 8 for this show). Oprah later chanted Leyla's name as her dog's name is also "Leyla."

Biography
Early life
Bijou Phillips was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, and is the daughter of John Phillips of The Mamas and the Papas and his then-wife Geneviève Waïte, a South African model. Her older brother is Tamerlane Phillips and her half-siblings are Mackenzie Phillips, Jeffrey Phillips, and Chynna Phillips. The name "Bijou", which is French for "jewel," was taken from the song "My Petite Bijou" by Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. She was a child Equestrienne champion.
Phillips began modeling at the age of 13. Emancipated from her parents the following year, Phillips lived on her own in New York City. Phillips was the youngest model ever to appear on the cover of Vogue, and appeared in one of Calvin Klein's more controversial ad campaigns.
At fourteen, Phillips attended the Sierra Tucson rehab center in Arizona—not because she was addicted to drugs, she claims, but to get out of trouble for running up a large credit card bill in her father's name.
Career

In 1999, Phillips had a brief cameo in the film Sugar Town, playing a girl wanting an autograph. That same year, Phillips appeared in Black and White as Charlie. In 2000, she played Estrella Starr in Almost Famous. 2001 saw Phillips get bigger parts, including a supporting role in Bully and starring roles in Tart and Fast Sofa.
Later film appearances include Octane, The Door in the Floor, Havoc, What We Do Is Secret, and Hostel: Part II. Completed but not yet released is her starring role in Dark Streets, and she's also reported to be starring in a remake of the 1974 film, It's Alive.
